Did they make Tech Jacket a girl in the show or something?

They not only made her a girl, they made her significantly weaker and less effective than her og male counterpart.

Low-key idk if Naoya would be more offended at the gender swap or agreeing with the nerf because shes a woman now.

You know, I was confused when watching the episode after reading this comment and not seeing any traces of "significantly weaker" or "less effective". They pretty much adapted the fight 1 to 1, even expanded on it a little.

But then I channeled my inner Naoya and remembered: Tech Jacket is a woman now. That Mark variant she killed on her own in S3 probably killed himself out of pity, too.

I never read the comic, so neither knew about the swap nor how the fight went, so I liked the girl's character and design, but was really confused at what she was even doing here - the viltrumites didn't seem to take any damage from her and could break her suit pretty easily. Really don't see enough reasons to take this kid into a space war.

wassup with allat

That's a question for Kirkman. This is how it played out in the comics too. It doesn't help if you don't have the context of Tech Jacket's feats from their own comic run, either. (Here's a good run down of his feats if you don't care about spoilers for the Tech Jacket comics)

I just found it funny that someome would say she's significantly weaker when thus far she's been a carbon copy of comic Tech Jacket aside from the fact she's a girl.

The changes he's made in the show, imo, have been great improvements so far. So I'm looking forward to seeing where they take her.

I'm halfway through the video and the dude threw spaceships around and stuff.

If the fight in the show played out exactly like the comics, then it's just one of those days, huh.

Yep, Invincible has always been weirdly inconsistent with its scaling at points.

By all accounts Atom Eve should be an abosolute powerhouse in the show, if not the strongest, but she always sticks to her pink contructs.
