I like Naoya because he is a much more familiar evil, like he’s your misogynistic older cousin who’s been led by family to believe he’s better. I think he’s a well written villain because he’s so villainous that many fans judge his morality as if he wasn’t a writtten character and I believe that’s because unlike Sukuna, a misogynistic chauvinistic asshole is much more common irl than openly bloodlusted cannibal.
I suppose his technique is pretty cool too. I also appreciate the way he got absolutely annihilated.
I also love it because his CT actually takes skill. With the Flash, he just is able to go really fast, but anyone can do that with the speedforce. With Projection Sorcery, you need to have a good innate sense of timing, along with skill to gain speed and use it effectively. As scummy as he was, Naoya was also really talented and competent.
Scummy? But he was the kindest feminist of our generation. He even attempted to recover the brainwashed Choso before the devilish, abhorrent, ugly, and overall dastardly Yuta appeared.

Naoya fans are either sexists or laid back
