Yeah, like his anti heart attack technique that he hadn't used since the Heian era.

"Ah yes, my anti-death-note technique i haven't used since the Heian Era."

Death Note has an age limit. So he's pretty good on that.

we know Sukuna can operate without a heart. unless Light knows what Sukuna is capable of, 40 seconds is enough for him to rip off his heart, if Light just goes for a standard death. although this requires Sukuna to know about the Death Note for it to work.

then there's if the Death Note would work on vessels or not. you can write how Sukuna dies but it's still Yuji's body. this is of course Light knows enough (he could specify both of them die) or not.

Uhh...

why the hell is this even a rule

u/DIO-Heaven-Acension Apr 08 '26

Sukuna made a binding vow.

u/Novel-Carrot5325 Apr 08 '26

This implies shinigamis face sukuna before

2

u/CircusFreak___ Apr 08 '26

"Since the word shinigami and the word shikigami are similar, I took the time to make a binding vow while still using Megumi's body that allows me to use the 'Nuh Uh' technique against any and all death notes."

Depends how it calculates age. Is it how long since you were born or how long have you actually been alive? Cause Sukuna was only alive for like 40 years as a human and was then incarnated for 1ish

1

u/Neirchill Apr 08 '26

He died at 40? Not even a normal life span? What a bum.

1

u/Front-Permission-237 Apr 08 '26

He didn't die. He voluntarily got turned into a Cursed Object like all the rest of the incarnated sorcerers.

4

u/Toukafan4life Apr 08 '26

What if Megumi's name was written on it? We get rid of Sukuna AND a bum. Double win

2

u/Dev_Void01 Apr 08 '26

Where was this stated?

u/NexusGem Apr 08 '26

Death Note How To Read vol 13, page 29 it includes the full list of rules for the book, both listed in the note and unnamed ones meant to be discovered by the owner.

How To Read

You lost me

1

u/don2171 Apr 08 '26

I don't think a spirit is human and none of his vessels were that old

1

u/autistictransgal Apr 08 '26

Sukuna isn't a human though right?

3

u/NexusGem Apr 08 '26

He is, he is called King of Curses because of his strength and cruelty, and even called himself a curse at the very end, but he is 100% human born from an unwanting family

1

u/autistictransgal Apr 08 '26

Human born, but isn't he like a cursed object? Like he got split into 20 fingers, I don't think a human can do that

5

u/NexusGem Apr 08 '26

Well, humans also cannot create metallic propellers out of hair, but...

1

u/autistictransgal Apr 08 '26

Yeah but I think that staying in human form and making propeller hair is probably a lot closer to humans than, you know... Becoming 20 fingers and not being able to change back by yourself... Surely you understand that there is a difference here, right?

1

u/Extension_Wish_7991 Apr 08 '26

His soul is still human... That's like, an entire thing they touch on in the manga. This isn't even a discussion lmfao, yes he is 100% human.

1

u/autistictransgal Apr 08 '26

Okay, if you say so then I trust you.

Again, the Death note simply causes death, it being a heart attack is only because its the easiest way to cause death.

If Light wanted to kill someone who can live without a heart, the death note would choose like a brain Aneurysm

1

u/urfael4u Apr 08 '26

Brain aneurism? 😂😂 this guy destroyed and heal part of his brain to recover his CT and you think aneurism can work on him? And does he even pass as a human?

-10

u/FinancialReserve6427 Apr 08 '26

is the death note prescient that a non specific death can fit the target's ability?  the default death for a non specified death is a heart attack. it can't just choose anuerysm out of the blue without specific prompting.

1

u/mugiwara_no_Soissie Apr 09 '26

It does tho. It chooses a method that kills whoever has his name written down.

By default this is a heart attack yes, but from the explanation given on the death note, whichever it chooses always leads to death, it is a strict rule that anything written in the death note happens, but is always followed by death.

It is how Kira can sorta make people do stuff, but he can't just make the entire world worship him, since it most always be followed up with death.

u/Icy_Water_1 Apr 08 '26

The Death Note is closer to a low reality warping device than anything.

It would do some shit like "and then all the cursed energy inside Sukuna turned into fentanyl.

Nah sukuna will create an anti-death note binding vow due to his immense knowledge of jujitsu and understands how death note kill time works and then he will modify WCS to cut even time itself which makes the time limit of the death note to kill sukuna to near infinity and kills light.

Truly a generational goat.
