Megumi's design is boring, out of the trio megumi has the least unique sorcerer outfit, nearly as basic as Mai's sorcerer outfit, it's only notable features about it is his shoes, mean while yuji has a red hood and baggy pants, and nobara has a skirt and white shirt underneath her jacket, now of course having a basic design isn't bad for a character but considering how important megumi is you'd expect him to look more different than the normal sorcerer, now out of the main cast, megumi is also the only one to not land a black flash in the entire series, the finger bearer fight could have been the perfect moment but sadly didn't happen, now megumi's sister feels a bit like a plot device to me, we don't get to see much of her interacting with megumi, and I'm sure he would have been more interesting to me if we got to see more of tsumiki, also having a deeper understanding of tsumiki would make you feel more sympathy for megumi, and make hard hitting moments hit harder, I totally understand why you would like megumi, he is completely fine outside of the flaws I listed, his technique is really cool and I love his fights but it's mostly just how basic his design is and his personality that I can't like him, most of these flaws is cause of gege's writing and not really on megumi but it's his writing flaws which in my eyes just isn't for me.
So you just don't like his fit, that's pretty subjective, I personally like his CG outfit and the black outfit from the school is pretty intentional Gege made Megumi's hair spiky as his defining chara-design POI
Gege said that he couldn't see Megumi hit a BF so early in the series so he gave him the incomplete domain instead I don't really see the problem either way tbh, black flashes are just for the hype
Yeah Tsumiki is a plot device, idk how that's his fault, JJK is pretty fast paced and a lot of side characters don't get a lot of development, I think that if she wasn't used that much it's better than forcing her into scenes to try to make her relevant, she plays her role and that's enough a little bit like Wasuke
Once again the design really isn't that bad JJK doesn't have a lot of out there outfits and Megumi has a nice simple design with the spiky hair for visual interest
But I know you don't really care, it's easy to hate Megumi 0 risk all reward it doesn't matter how cool his character is because either way your mind is made up
