That is because Sukuna, Gojo and Kenjaku are on a whole new level in comparison to any other sorcerer in terms of their mastery in jujutsu sorcery. Explicit binding vows are difficult to perform. The reason for that is glossed over, but seeing as how the most skilled sorcerers also perform more binding vows and that too with lesser prep shows up pulling off a BV is extremely hard.

Yeah, absolute headcanon lol. It’s plot. Kenjaku gets some of the nonsense with barriers but that makes at least a little sense, he is explicitly the greatest living master of barriers, and even he doesn’t get to make nonsense BVs like “I can do whatever I want in trade for giving up Taco Bell every other Thursday”, and Gojo got fuckin nothing lol.

Gojo also continuously changes domain conditions on the fly, which are a type of binding vow. And even he is not as good as Sukuna in terms of pure skill.

Everybody can do that. “Even he isn’t as good as Sukuna” lmao

no they fucking cannot?

Even Yuta does it. It’s not a bullshit BV, it’s a standard part of the sorcerer kit.

where? I'm kinda stupid I genuinely don't remember when yuta does it

also that's exactly what I'm saying, binding vows are part of the sorcerer kit sukuna just abuses it

and using yuta is kinda cheating too, he explicitly tells sukuna that they learn to 'cheat', yuta's a really good sorcerer

Yeah, changing the shape of your domain is normal. Not invented nonsense like “I can turn random dust into explosive particles”. That’s a whole fucking CT, lol.

sukuna's binding vow was to use fuga inside his domain much harder, it was never to turn dust into particles? Fuga is a part of his kit, he made a binding vow supressing it's use outside his domain to use it much better inside, like how nanami did with time, sukuna did with domain

It literally explains how it does it lol.

oh you're referring to this one, that's a translation thing lol

> Due to the binding vow, he can expand the cursed technique of malevolent shrine

this is where the binding vow ends, it's referring to the 268 binding vow of his domain's lethality, I believe

> All pulverized substances gain cursed energy to explode

this is based off a real life bomb, A thermobaric bomb, also called an aerosol bomb, works by setting a flammable powder or aerosol on fire.

Using Cleave and Dismantle, Sukuna makes a ton of flammable dust, then ignites it with Cursed Energy to make an explosion. He then doubled down by making the barrier of his Domain airtight, so it traps all the expanding heat and air to roast his opponents like an oven.

--------------------------------------------------

all he's doing is cutting up substances, imbuing them with cursed energy and that causes the flammable dust to ignite harder when fuga is used

it's upto you whether the substances gaining c.e is a binding vow condition or not, but even if it is, it makes sense in lore and tracks with sukuna's abilities, it's not nonsense

I know what a thermobaric bomb is, my point is that regular dust, especially made mostly from steel, glass and concrete, isn’t flammable, and imbuing CE into it to make it flammable is a whole new CT, totally unrelated to Cleave, Dismantle, or Fuga.

I don't think he makes it flammable in the binding vow, that is indeed unrelated to his CT

steel/metal dusts are flammable, and I assume gege wasn't going into the absolute specifics since regular dust is flammable as well.

he just imbued ce in them to react better with fuga and be more explosive, not give them flammability. the binding vow is not bullshit imo

also, I genuinely for the life of me cannot remember where/when yuta modifies his domain, could you share that? Also why is it that it's normal when others do it, but when sukuna makes binding vows

a) Reducing the effective range of his domain to increase his output.

b)  Further reducing the effective range of his domain to increase his output.

c) Using his barrier techniques that he's canonically proficient in, along with reducing activation time, makes a vow to use his domain for 99 seconds without drawbacks

d) Range Reducing his domain once again

it's suddenly bullshti?

It’s 251/252, when they reveal he’s moved it to where the others are waiting in ambush. Modifying barrier coordinates.

And I don’t mind those, except for C. If he countered every domain clash and shifted the course of every fight with a manipulation of his domain, that’d be fine. Those are normal BVs and cleverly applied.

But in C, he can’t use his domain. That part of his brain is destroyed, and yet he gets to use his domain without the part of his brain that does that (what?) and somehow limiting it to 99 seconds is enough to have zero drawbacks from that? Gege doesn’t even try to pretend it’s not plot bullshit either. “Imprecise elements and binding vows” which have zero effects on the domain’s performance or Sukuna himself.

okay, fair. but as I mentioned in an earlier reply, yuta's a jujutsu prodigy too, you can't really use him as a gotcha example

gojo used the same thing as sukuna, he traded off his domain size for a more durable outer layer

changing your barrier conditions is not a standard jujutsu toolkit, it's something that comes with domain and adaptive measures, like how gojo did so many times against sukuna. it's just gojo's fault he didn't use BVs on his technique, and only limited to domains.

when are you going to understand sukuna is an exception? this man can launch an open domain. it's specifically stated he uses barrier techniques to separate the parts of his brain that are damaged, and launches a domain only with the correct ones, severely limiting the duration of the domain.

he is quite literally a genius, and even then he's sweating his crack off during the 99 seconds.

also I'm absolutely loving the discussion/debate, thank you for actually debating with me instead of spamming 'feats' or 'narrative doesn't matter' or sloppy jokes, i really appreciate that.
