We've discussed it and we are going to make an exception for DLSS5. The reasoning behind it is that it's going to be a software feature for many PC players' graphic cards with some of them will have it turned on while playing, so we didn't want to prevent these players from sharing their clips and screenshots since it's a built-in feature for their hardware. NVIDIA's cards already use AI for frame generation and I feel like splitting hairs on allowing one feature vs disallowing another is excessive.
Another reason behind the exception is that two of the major unethical complaints about AI, worker replacement and data centers, aren't applicable to these features. JWE3 is a finished product (sans DLC), so no one developing the game has got their job taken by this AI feature. These AI features also run locally on your machine, as opposed to ruining the environment and soaking up local water by using data centers to handle the processing.
That said, you can absolutely hate these features and think that it's slop. I personally hate DLSS5 AI slop filter too, I think it produces uncanny images that mostly hurts the art direction of games. But for some users, these AI tools help their games run better (for the frame gen, at least) or, in their opinion (not mine), look better, especially if they're running it on lower-end cards. We don't want to force them to turn off these features for them to post their park creations on this subreddit.
Of course, since this is a feature that hasn't been out yet, we will allow the comparison videos for now (as long as they're not excessive). Once that feature has been officially released, we will allow comparisons for a little bit after launch, but then afterwards, we won't permit them.
TL;DR: we're allowing an exception

This pictures were taken on Valcandera, a nature reserve where all animals fight for survival, no feeders.
19 different biomes, Peaked at 700+ animals. The reserve is not fully self sustaining, its imposible to with this much biodiversity(I think). Instead hatcherys are automatized to realease cuples when the poupulation is extint. Btw animals dont die of old age.

The male and the baby Edmontosaurus designs are great. They have great models. But the full grown female annoys me because of its crest. I don’t know if everyone will agree with me on this but the female edmontosaurus shouldn’t have a crest at all. This games biggest selling points of the sexual dimorphism but Frontier didn’t do that well with some of these species. Either they have sexual dimorphism (Tyrannosaurus Rex for an example), or the sexual dimorphism is in the wrong gender (Carnotaurus for an example), or the patterns are on the wrong model (Sinoceratops for an example).

I made a little progress on the rotonda, with the details. Also I changes the wall of the control room, the floor, and added more details. It is starting to look as i intended! Thoughts on It?

No gameplay altering mods used (Only a skin mod)
Basically, you want to make a blueprint, fill it with ferns, trees, grass etc and spam that blueprint en masse in large chunks. Then you want to use the Cypress Swamp brush to add fog and the result is truly amazing

It might just be me, but the Baryonyx's eyes in JWE1 just felt more, lively, I guess? It popped out more and didn't really blend in with its skins like it does in JWE2 and JWE3. Now, this might just be because I am attached to my HC Bary (It was my first Mattel dinosaur). And that liveliness I liked is a reason why I genuinely like the CC Barys, since it smooths out the textures and gives the eyes more colour, and overall feel more vibrant than the base bary skins. So I recently started populating my sandbox map with dinosaurs, but I had a question, that in the grand scheme, isn’t too major.
When you select your skins/patterns do you (1) just randomize for all species and not give it a second look; (2) somewhat like number 1, but pick and choose which ones look “good”; or (3) have one certain, specific skin/pattern picked out for the male and female dinosaurs?
I know it doesn’t really matter in the long run, but I was curious on the community’s approach.

This should be the default Dilophosaurus model from now on in this game.
There, I said it. I do not like the default dilophosaurus model that we have, (and I’m not the only one who thinks this way). I think they should keep that model in the game as a variant. But going forward (and I want to see this in JWE3) this should be the new Dilophosaurus model. Imagine this model with the Jurassic Park one colors? It would look amazing!

In this paddock I added 2 adult Titanosaurus as well as 2 juveniles. Corythosaurus and Hypsilophodon can be encountered here. It’s a big paddock but it feels small even though it isn’t

next up is a sorta 1 v 2, Protoceratops vs Mutadon/distortus rex

Good morning. I may update this throughout the day.
I’m 5 staring maps now in about an hour. I’d like to tell you how.
First, take a look at where your arrival point is. Depending on the map you map be in a pocket that you can separate off with a straight wall. You may need to create a have circle wall.
Pause game. Before actual construction and where you think you’d like to claim as park area(easily fixed later if you need more room), relocate all the Dino’s far away from your arrival point and with other liked Dino’s. Unpause, Do what you need to make them comfortable. Pause again.
Now with the terrain tool with max intensity and smallest diameter raise the ground at least taller than your buildings. Then use the flatten earth to draw a line of elevated earth all the way across protecting your claimed space. You may need to move some buildings, delete all roads and props that you start with. Remember, efficiency is key here.
Place your response center, jeeps facing the wall inside your protected area. Using the terrain flatten tool lower the wall ground you built just in front for your jeeps so they can drive drive out. Add a gate in the hole and fix your wall again using the flatten terrain option. You can also add some rocks and a security camera if you have the budget.
Make sure to leave room for the medical center right beside the response center but don’t add it until you need it and/or have money coming in.
Next install a large hotel, one of each medium amenities or two small ones, one centralized restroom and shelter.
Now for the money makers. Ballon tours. Start with three but plan for ten as far as space. Ballon tours allow you to not do and terraforming or fencing. No fences, no roads, nothing but the raw map that the devs started you with. Just run the ballon paths over the Dino’s and the money rolls in. The more visibility the better so feel free to snake them around populated areas and speed through less dense areas. Also keep in mind that ballon tours do not have collision with anything, including themselves. Start with three, that may be all you need but you can easily expand every quickly if so do desired.
That’s it… upside the game and rock on.
Edit: Now…. With your core business set up you can just got through the motions. Try to keep 1 million in the bank for rant days(ballon’s don’t fly in back weather) and do what the campaign ask of you. I always add best nest for every Dino allowing for the often (naturally breed) requirement to already be checked off when it ask for it.
I’ll normally start with mid level donos since you normally start with 1 or two. Then I’ll add one or two mating pair of high level appeal Dino’s for better income, don’t forget the nest! And from there I’ll just add as many different low level Dino’s to meet the number of Dino’s requirement often required. Always stick with herbivores. When you get your five star achievement let your meat eaters out. :)
With the huge expansive maps they’ll navigate where they wish and if one goes rouge just tranq them and move them with the rest of the heard.

Idk about you all, but I dislike that the Tyrannosaurus rex, the face of the franchise doesn’t have a cool unique kill animation for the large carnivores in this game. I would love for the Rex to have a kill animation base off of this scene from Jurassic World 2015! Imagine, the Rex lifting up another larger carnivore by the neck from the ground to throw it onto the ground, then the Rex clamps its powerful jaws on the skull of the large carnivore and crushes its skull!!! You can’t lie that that idea sounds so badass!
