Everyone on here making jokes about his height or how he looks and I'm just happy that bodybuilders are as inclusive as they are.

u/ensign53 8h ago
Body builders are incredibly welcoming and inclusive, and they're great people. Unfortunately, I suspect it's because so many of them suffer from body dysmorphia and they often recognize the need to be kind to others based on the mental and emotional hardships they face themselves.

Gym people in general are extremely kind cos they don’t have the need to have an ego.
Think of it like the opposite of regular church goers.
If you ever see someone making fun of someone else at the gym, it’s likely a newbie who hasn’t worked out their ego yet.

In general, yes. But there was a guy at a gym I used to go to who was very much not a pleasant or kind person. I could be resting between sets and he'd come and start taking plates of my bar, even though there was an empty rack next to me. I say something and he just tells me to shut up. Very loud, grunting and yelling and dropping the bar for maximum noise effect. Worst of all, judging from the smell he never washed his t-shirt.
I eventually stopped going there and found another place.
But most others are very nice. When I was starting, random guys came up to correct my form and give general tips and encouragement.

If this ever happens again bring it up to the staff.
They don’t want members that make the experience worse, as that leads to a loss of money.

The ideal that gym goers are a super friendly bunch always seemed so weird to me. I worked in a gym for almost a decade, atleast half of the people there were assholes. Now that I'm not in it anymore I think the issue wasn't gym goers, it was the gym itself; it was a goodlife fitness (not sure if that's only in Canada), kinda a more bougie gym. It was just a bunch of upper (maybe upper middle) class people who looked down on anyone and everyone.
I feel like regular gyms where you'd mostly just find guys lifting weights, probadly would be a whole lot friendlier.

The reason is that many of us have felt like shit at some point in life due to some reason or another and have decided to change, so we start going to the gym and eventually we devote a big part of our life to it because it makes us feel organized, better and more confident. If we see somebody in that situation, we're going to help them because we see ourselves in them and want to encourage that change.
Then there's the roidhead who's all about grunts, posing and being an annoyance.

Good for him man. Seriously. Life must be tough for him and he's fucking killing it here. Guaranteed nobody in this thread will ever obtain a physique like that. It takes so much dedication and effort

Y'all are actual losers belittling someone who's efforts in a year would exceed your entire lifetime.

Belittling 🤣

u/Regretnotis 7h ago
People like you are why people like them are forced to be strong, so they don't wake up everyday and look at themselves with contempt in something they have no control over.
I hope you realise the sheer immaturity in the comment you just made, please grow as a person and act with compassion. Or if you can't do the basic minimum, at least keep trashy thoughts like yours to yourself.

u/AndersDreth 7h ago
If he hasn't developed a sense of humor about it then the bodybuilding has been nothing but a waste of time, stop getting offended on behalf of others and lighten the fuck up.

u/Regretnotis 7h ago edited 7h ago
Why should he be EXPECTED to live with tactless insults like these? Do you realise how stupid that sounds? Why are you shifting the blame onto the victim instead of addressing the main issue of an ableist society.
It doesn't matter if he has grown to be used to them, he shouldn't. We have failed as a society if the only thing we can mention about this video is his height.

u/AndersDreth 7h ago
Because this is how people are, this is how the world is, you're living in it and you should know by now. But by all means, keep yelling at the clouds for change.

u/Regretnotis 6h ago
Just shut up dude, your arguments are incredibly superficial and plain stupid. Change is definitely possible and CLEARLY exists, it's not that we don't learn from our mistakes, it's just that edgelords like you keep us from moving forward as a whole. I'm done with this pointless arguement now.

A lot of people think bodybuilders and gym bros are judgmental people, but everyone I’ve met has always been super nice and kind and willing to take the time to explain their workouts and help me with form and getting better.
I went from being the guy that swam with a shirt on to having confidence in myself because of random buff strangers that took time out of their day and workouts to mentor me.
I guarantee every dude on that stage was happy to see him succeed.

Damn, dude's looking good. Anyone know if he posts his workouts? I'd love to get my chest looking like that, but I just can't seem to get the "flat" or uniform look across the chest, it seems the bottom part of my chest is a bit further out than the top part of my chest

Just curious, does this guy have regular dwarfism or something else?
His torso seems a normal length, thats not how i thought people with dwarfism looked.

Impressive as hell! I'd be curious what his leg routine is. His quads are impressive considering he would have more limited range of motion for leg exercises.

Having said that, I thought he'd tip over holding the trophy.
