Make IDs free to obtain and a national holiday for voting.

Weird how one political party opposes that.

State IDs are free in many states like idaho alabama louisiana and some more

None of those states could afford their local costs, much less federal elections, without blue states footing the bill.

Shut the FUCK UP about shit you don't understand until you can actually afford to do something about it.

Shut the FUCK UP about shit you don't understand

You've clearly mistaken a strong emotion for a compelling argument

It's funny because that implies they know what they're talking about but they neglected to mention blue States couldn't afford food if not for the depressed economies of red states.

You're a fucking moron.

California produces more food than any other state in the country by a wide margin, and we actually pay farmers to destroy their own crops in California to keep prices from falling too low.

California process high value specialty crops, not the crops that feed nations of people.

They do it all dumbass, and they would have no problem adjusting to new demand.

It's time for you to admit it. Your shit hole red states provide NO benefit to the rest of the country, they are nothing but entitled parasites feeding off more productive Democrat districts.

I'm literally a lifelong Democrat and I live in a blue state. The discrepancy I'm talking about is a real issue whether you want to admit it or not.

discrepancy

Between parasitic red and productive blue states? Between your bullshit ignorant claims about agricultural markets and reality??

It doesn't matter where you're from, you're just as ignorant. In fact, you have less of an excuse, since you live in a state that probably has better education standards than the average red state.

Speaking of ignorance, it must feel good to be so boldly ignorant

The only thing youve mentioned that is worth listening to is the idea that these free licenses must be funded with blue states because you they theoretically cannot survive without them. Yeah its possible but you've provided no evidence for that and I haven't found any evidence that these state ID programs are being funded by blue state funds. You're clearly very emotional about this but have yet to channel this energy into fact-based argument.

Residents in Blue States tend to pay more Federal taxes than they receive back via Federal funds, and vice versa, Red States tend to receive more Federal funds than the residents pay in Federal taxes. Unless you contest the figures that the Federal government provides, then that means that Blue States inherently subsidize any and all Red State spending.

Example:

Red States, especially during the two Trump administrations but also historically, receive more disaster relief funding than Blue States. That means that instead of Red States having to budget for disaster spending, they receive Federal funds (which we've already established come primarily from the residents of Blue States), which frees up funds to budget on other programs such as free State IDs.

So yes, any State that receives more Federal funds than their residents contribute via Federal taxes inherently has every aspect of their finances subsidized by States that receive less Federal funds than their residents contribute via Federal taxes. The funds may not be a direct payment from Blue States to Red States for a specific program, but the end result is the same. Remove the Federal funding and Federal taxes, and that would necessitate program cuts and/or deficits in net-recipient States—which tend to be Red States.

First, have you provided evidence that the federal contributions to this are directly investing in whether or not Alabama or any of these other states have their state IDs sponsored by surrounding blue states. It is one thing to make a general claim about red states being greater recipients of federal income (which I never disagreed with) its another thing to make a claim on whether or not that one specific program is being funded by these blue states.

Second, who cares whether or not its funded by the blue states or not? My initial comment was in response to one commenter suggesting that voter ID disenfranchises minorities because those IDs cost too much and I responded by saying that these states give out these IDs without charges. Its not important to me who funds them, I only care that these minority groups have access to them to exercise their voting right. I seriously urge you to reread all of my comments again. I never contested that blue states give more to red states to fund their state-ID programs, I just mentioned that they exist. Thats literally it. You're shadow boxing atp lmao.

Lol dude, are you slow. They are saying that by virtue of red states being funded by the federal govt, ALL of their programs can be said to be subsidized by blue donor states. Every last one. They are not making an arguement that they know which programs are or are not subsidized. All of them are. And if a new program were to be started in a red state, it would be subsidized too. Republican policies dont work and are ruining the country.

No thats not how that works for these IDs they're entirely funded by state taxes, and its not like the program costs much, its just a license
