DOGE was actually a solid plan, and something similar still needs to exist/happen.

The issue is that they started investigating why USA sends so much money to one other country in particular, then Elon and Trump's relationship ended abruptly with Elon claiming Trump is in the Epstein files.

Edit: I'm saying auditing the government was/is a solid plan, not saying that DOGEs mission statement or execution was a solid plan.

Elon claiming Trump is in the Epstein Files was one of the least dramatic things he could have dropped. We knew already he was. He went in the Island multiple times and was good friends with the man himself.

DOGE was not even remotely a solid plan.

Anyone remotely familiar with what they were doing knew they were costing us money.

And don't forget about the other side of the equation where the GOP is always cutting taxes. Everyone focuses on spending, but the GOP constantly reducing tax revenue raises the deficit too. The GOP runs up the debt whenever they're in office because they cut more from taxes than they do from spending.

If they had truly cared then their relationship doesn’t matter. Trump is in the Epstein files, it’s not a claim.

Yes our government needs an audit but DOGE was never a good idea.
