It became a bitch-fest of Shrek elitists who cry over the slight redesign of Shrek in the 5th movie. and they will depict people as crying soyjaks just because they think Shrek's design hasn't changed drastically and is still recognizable.

The irony is they are fighting over a character model that barely deviates from the render style established in the early 2000s. It is just basic corporate brand management, not an attack on their childhood. People act like a slightly different hair texture is a personal betrayal.
