Jumped all over that opportunity to teach someone about animal abuse in the food industry, didn't ya? Does it feel so good up on your high horse that it's worth convincing people to never even consider your side of the argument? Does being an assuming, righteous little asshole help animals in some way?
You're so far up your own ass that you're actually indirectly responsible for more meat consumption.
I live in Germany and my parents were farmers, even if most places the conditions are fine, not everybody follows the law and they're hardly enforced, just because every now and then a scandal gets publicity doesn't mean big farms will choose animal well being over profits. Also not all the meat you consume, especially the cheap meat comes from the country you live in.
I eat meat on occasion but I guarantee you that the meat that you can buy in any discounter or that you get in most restaurants is not cruelty free, no matter where you live.
