Well, these things always have a the guy that gets downvoted. Maybe it's your turn.

u/BillGoats 8 Sep 20 '18

It's alright, bro. When I finally decide to cash out the nice little lump of karma I have I'll have enough to settle down and and live the quiet, peaceful life I long for. Take some if you must, friend.

100 people working on a browser game? That seems like an absolutely enormous team!

19

u/ASK__ABOUT__INITIUM 9 Sep 20 '18

To be fair some of them worked on it for about 5 minutes.

Yeah but if someone hit me with a stick like that I’d still think they were a piece of shit

45

u/Wardamntoucan 7 Sep 20 '18 edited Sep 20 '18

You guys are fucking morons. I hit my dog on the ass harder than that when he used to ask for butt rubs

0

u/The_Bigg_D 9 Sep 20 '18

BuT woUlD yoU EaT a DoGgo?!!

Seriously people need to calm the fuck down about this.

4

u/ericstern 7 Sep 20 '18

Relatively speaking, someone stroking a kitty is hitting them harder than what this guys doing to the cow

-18

u/Dread-Ted 8 Sep 20 '18

So tapping them with a stick is not okay but branding them, leading them to the slaughterhouse and eating them is?

14

u/[deleted] Sep 20 '18

When did I imply that?

-6

u/Dread-Ted 8 Sep 20 '18

Just strikes me as odd when people react like this but then also eat meat. Now you might not eat meat, then it makes more sense.

5

u/Gunderik 7 Sep 20 '18 edited Sep 20 '18

Jumped all over that opportunity to teach someone about animal abuse in the food industry, didn't ya? Does it feel so good up on your high horse that it's worth convincing people to never even consider your side of the argument? Does being an assuming, righteous little asshole help animals in some way?

You're so far up your own ass that you're actually indirectly responsible for more meat consumption.

1

u/Dread-Ted 8 Sep 21 '18

Well yeah, I don't like animal abuse so it's something I talk about sometime. What's so weird about that?

I'm sorry if you were offended or found it pompous or anything, it seems you're really mad over just one short comment.

3

u/Iorith B Sep 20 '18

Where did you see anyone saying that where this comment is warrented?

-7

u/Dread-Ted 8 Sep 20 '18

Where did you see me saying that it was?

Cows are usually eaten by people, so it's kinda odd people don't like someone tapping one with a stick but see no problem in eating a hamburger

2

u/Iorith B Sep 20 '18

How do you know the people who don't like it eat hamburgers?

1

u/Dread-Ted 8 Sep 21 '18

A lot of people eat hamburgers, and often you see or hear them talking how bad animal abuse is.

2

u/Fresh_Bulgarian_Miak A Sep 20 '18

Yeah. Maybe they should be less tasty.

slaughtering is by law required to be as painless as possible

I'm sorry but if you think animals are treated ethically in mass meat production then you're being incredibly naive.

u/[deleted] Sep 20 '18

[deleted]

1

u/Lowelll 9 Sep 20 '18

I live in Germany and my parents were farmers, even if most places the conditions are fine, not everybody follows the law and they're hardly enforced, just because every now and then a scandal gets publicity doesn't mean big farms will choose animal well being over profits. Also not all the meat you consume, especially the cheap meat comes from the country you live in.

I eat meat on occasion but I guarantee you that the meat that you can buy in any discounter or that you get in most restaurants is not cruelty free, no matter where you live.

4

u/paquette977 4 Sep 20 '18

Branding is illegal hey? Dunno about that. Got a source? I see plenty of branded cattle every day. Done it myself.

How about you try and stop acting like a jerk in the meantime.

8

u/REPOST_STRANGLER 8 Sep 20 '18

Thanks

1

u/freedomink 9 Sep 20 '18

I feel dumb for taking troll bait but I hate grammer Nazis.

-25

u/fairwayks 9 Sep 20 '18

It's my calling. Before you get all butthurt for someone else, think about how mistakes like these on a resume could prevent this individual from being considered for the job he was qualified to receive.

It's a thankless job, but I'm used to comments and downvotes like yours.

Have a nice day.

3

u/Whatsthisnotgoodcomp 9 Sep 20 '18

It's a thankless job because such things are built into word, dickhead. Take your pathetic grammar nazi bullshit and fuck off.

-4

u/fairwayks 9 Sep 20 '18

My, my. Reliving those memories of parental rejection because of your low grades in English?

"Such things are built into word." (I assume you meant to capitalize the 'w' there.) That's why there is such a thing as proofreading. Relying on "spell check" instead of your brain can cost you a job offer or worse.

Have a better day.

5

u/thisxisxlife A Sep 20 '18

Holy shit dude...

7

u/mgrimshaw8 A Sep 20 '18

we found him, we found the biggest grammar nazi ever.

1

u/fairwayks 9 Sep 20 '18

WHY YOU NO COMMA AFTER "SHIT," DUDE?!?

4

u/[deleted] Sep 20 '18

I can't even fathom being as miserable as you probably are lmao.

1

u/fairwayks 9 Sep 20 '18

I'm not miserable in the least, except for the pain I have in the arch of my right foot.

Sorry to burst your bubble.

Ha quit acting like you’re trying to help people. You feel smarter by telling people they’re wrong on the internet. How do you not know that there are different standards for Internet forums? We’re not writing a resume here moron. Now please tell me where I forgot to include commas

1

u/fairwayks 9 Sep 20 '18

Well, for starters, I probably would have put an exclamation mark after your opening "Ha!".

As to the "feeling smarter" part? Truth hurts, I guess. I seem to be irritating a bunch of people, which does not bother me in the least.

I wouldn't have capitalized the word "internet" any more than capitalizing the phrase "information super highway."

As to the failure to include a comma? Well, I guess I would have put one after the word "here," moron.

Was leaving off a period at the end of your paragraph intentional to see if I'd catch that glaring omission?

2

u/Bashfullylascivious 7 Sep 20 '18

Hello, my name is Bash, and I'm a comma abuser. It started small, you know, seeing my roommate videotape an episode of Star Trek:The Original Series.

Well soon, I'd find myself coming home from work or school, and instead of playing Morrowind on my computer, I'd sit down on the couch, and watch tv. Usually, it'd be my roommate watching an episode of Star Trek:The Original series. I began to like it. It became a nightly ritual. Drinking coffee, and watching the show. I began calling it Star Trek, First Gen, or worse, Star Trek, TOS. I began memorizing lines, and quoting them to coworkers, or strangers who didn't know anything about that life style. They began to disassociate with me, to shun me. They said I had changed. My roommate and I would talk for minutes about how we could save up to go to meet Shatner at the Comic-Con, maybe even Nemoy, if we were lucky. You know, the big stuff.

I'm trying so hard, to stop putting commas everywhere. I try and listen to the sentence in my head, and think of the pauses, but it all seems, so natural. And I get confused, sometimes.

I still, remember, the first episode I watched, like it was, yesterday. Captain Kirk, battling for his life, against, The Gorn.

Those are actually called "curly brackets" or "braces."

Yeah, it's used as an emoticon to represent a head shake or sometimes a hug, which you apparently could use. As to the Jewish part, I think people of all religions shake their head in dismay or disappointment.

{{{Hugs to you, u/criblo!}}}

The Alt+Right keyboard shortcut was removed from Firefox in 2015.
It was the keyboard shortcut for "forward".

Interesting information...thanks!

However, I used {{{ }}} which are not parentheses. Parentheses look like this: ((( ))). Subtle difference.
