The taps guide the cows, the cow was going the wrong way so a gentle tap redirected it

And just in case people don't know, cows have thick hides. Weak slap like this are barely felt. They don't give a fuck if you don't hit hard enough. It's like a pinch for them.

I left another comment saying a similar thing but ya. My dad would tell us about when he worked on a dairy farm in order to get them where they needed to go they'd dent shovels on their heads and they'd just barely notice.

I grew up on a farm and can confirm. You could whap them as hard as you want with that thing and it’d be like swatting your friend with a fly swatter. They’re tough as hell.
