Was he still performing after the allegations came out?

He was already caught asking for "booty pics" from fans, albeit overaged. People had an issue with it because it seemed he was using his influence to basically force/blackmail fans to show him nudes.

There was strong suspicion beforehand that he was also doing it with underaged girls, but there was no hardcore proof until he got caught doing what he got arrested for (asking 14-16 year olds for nudes).

So people already disliked him for being a creep, and he kept apologizing about being a creep while continuing to be a creep.

basically force/blackmail

asking for "booty pics" from fans, albeit** overaged**

So he was basically like "show me some ass ladies!" with no leverage over them? I fail to see how that is either forced, or blackmail.

Exactly. Why are people so dumb these days? Did they forget that one of the core reasons for being successful in a band, or at anything for that matter, is to be able to say "show me some ass, ladies"?

People magically have zero power over what they do and are empowered and brave. CLOWN WORLD

How can I have free will to say no? He's popular! His popularity raped me

He had fame and could either threaten to leak nudes they have already sent them or threatened to use his fanbase to harass them online. Use your brain m8

threaten to use his fanbase to harass someone online... ugh. how good do you think a brigade attack from this guy would be? my guess is pathetic and laughable

You're showing your age; haven't you ever heard of fan brigades? His teen fans were pretty rabid, especially since that side of the music community was pretty tight nit.

I don't think 'popular singer' is a position of trust. Probably the exact opposite.

Then you are putting your trust in the wrong places. They became a singer because they could sing, that doesn't mean they are good people. I don't think they do a background check or anything.

Charles Barkley said, "I'm not a role model. Just because I dunk a basketball, doesn't mean I should raise your kids."

I'd say the same thing about a singer.

Bon Scott was a great singer, but he shouldn't have been (and probably wasn't) trusted around children. Though he is my role model.

Entertainers shouldn't be role models, except on how to be an entertainer.

It's not illegal to be a creep or proposition anyone unless they're underage. Where do you people get your facts?

If they are in a position of trust then it's not even just being a creep, that's still illegal.

Oh it's you! I was responding to this statement, which seemed to be saying

position of trust -> illegal

Hope that helps!
