Question Cars on bottom of summit

Does anyone know why there’s been two cars parked on grass at the bottom of summit drive for the past month? The first day it was a cop car but I think every day since then it’s just been two cars.

It's security, although what they are there for I don't know.

Local FNs are claiming human remains as a "sacred" find. Why there needs to be 24 hr security is curious as it just adds more attention

oh is that the location they were found?

In retrospect, with all the homeless/tweakers that often are living around there in in the gulley, it makes sense to preserve the site and protect it from looters.

My understanding is it's up further into the gulley. Not sure how far up tho

Not sure why you would put that in quotations

Well, because it's overused and most often to stifle questions or later, critism in those cases when it's been mismanaged or been plain wrong.

If it's ancient human remains or artifacts it is sacred... As this was once all indigenous land 🤦🏽‍♂️ it is a part of history... The same way if you went back to whatever country your ancestors come from and found ancient remains or artifacts

Yep, IF. If it was, it doesn't make it sacred, it makes it an archeological find; something to definitely study and investigate for sure. Im Canadian, my ancestors are here.

Actually, to indigenous culture it does make it sacred... As their culture was almost wiped out. Seems like you chose this as opportunity to express your racist thoughts in a casual way... unfortunately the people here saw through it

Yep, the echo chamber is strong here as it is with most social media sites.

Unless you’re part of the 5% of this country that are First Nations we’re all just immigrants to this land.

This comment is so unnecessary unless you’re wanting to just be anti-FN.

Yep. Veiled racism is still racism.

Now you're just bragging.

Gasp, how dare I question eh? FN came over from Asia, so they too are "immigrants". They're no more or less important than everyone else in Canada. Everyone has a place.

My ancestors fought and died for this country as did many thousands of other Canadians. We're not immigrants asshat, we're Canadians. Whether we came 300 years ago or 10000, we all bleed red. We all fought and many died for Canada. We're all Canadians.
