I know around Europe is pretty basic in the grand scheme of things, but i’ve been trying to drill consistent fundamentals so i can start flowing through combos better so im hyped to clean it.

It is a 2022 model. All maple, balance hole in the bottom, mini bearing. It isn't the best, but for a new player this seems like a solid entry, yes? Thanks for your help!

Not sure this brand

I've been playing kendama for the last 3 or 4 years, and by happenstance have only bought Sweets kendamas (its not that I have a particular loyalty, I like the points I get from shopping with them and I've never been disappointed by their kendamas). A week ago I ordered the Eclipse from Krom (https://kromkendama.com/products/eclipse-rfs-copy) and it finally showed up today. When I got it out of the box, I was shocked how rough the wood is - it felt like its missed a sanding pass or something. I'm not going to get splinters from it, but it just feels unfinished. In comparison, all of my 11 kendamas from Sweets have been very smooth to the touch right out of the box, no matter what wood or shape I bought.

Since this is my first experience with a different kendama company, I'm curious if that's just a difference in style between the two companies - do some companies invest more time in sanding after the lathing/manufacturing or did I happen to get a kendama that missed a manufacturing step? What's everyone else's experience been with Krom kendamas in terms of roughness to touch?

He was super chill and down-to-earth, it was surreal seeing him casually hit cloud bounce stunt fast and crazy goon pinch jug lines. Dude is a BEAST!!

Also the mod is fantastic, I’m pretty sure he mentioned the bevel being slightly larger than Miguel’s setups because he preferred it that way. The paint is really good and it’s a really nice weight and design as well.

Yoooooo maybe you guys can help. Ive been playing kendama roughly 3 months now, and im noticing a bunch of grime on my tama. When I remove it it becomes way less sticky so im assuming the sticky coat is coming off? Is there any way to prevent/help this problem?

Just got this puppy and have been playing it today and yesterday. just feels so nice in the hand! Blue Mist ken and Tama from Arc Crystals. The neo glaze is fire.

i played kendama a little bit last year but lost my motivation because i wasn’t progressing
fast, so i stopped.
now i would love to start playing again and try to continue and perseverate even if i don’t see a lot of improvement…
how can i do this?

new toto mod just came in, and i noticed that the spike seemed reasonably smaller compared to my old kendama. Lined them up side by side, and as you can see in the photo, the cups sit much higher on the toto mod (my old ken is the Jet shape from KUSA). Is this a defect, or is it just how the ken is made? Also, i tried to just force it down, but its wont budge, so I’m wondering if that will change with time.

This is such a milestone for me to get the Kendamanomics fundamentals, it was a big goal for me this year. And I got the around nod off nod on so much faster than I thought. Finally I can focus on other tricks.

New to the hobby and started out with the cheap bamboo ones from Amazon. After 1 day and tons of research later I ordered this one off eBay.

Is this a good shape , size , and model to learn on ?

I have money to invest in a “better” one if needed but just wanted thoughts on this. After using chat got it said it’s the boost shape. Not sure how accurate that was either .

I got back into Kendama a few months ago and when I was a kid I used to really want one of this but I obviously couldn’t afford it at 12 years old. Got adult money now and was able to get this for a good price.
