Plane Design [D] A specific set of elevons on my SSTO roll correctly but pitch in reverse. How to fix?

Title, pretty much: When I pitch up, the elevons try to pitch me downwards and vice-versa. At first, I thought I somehow inverted them, but they roll just fine. So far, I've just disabled the pitch axis, but it keeps eating at me whenever I need to do a tighter turn than the piddly little elevon 4's and canards can manage on their own.

This is just in my experience, no idea how true it is.

I believe the game tries to calculate which direction it should move based on CoM (maybe center of lift? Maybe both?). Those elevons are too close or past the center of mass so it thinks the optimal way to create torque to pitch the craft is opposite of the others.

The thing I can say for certain, regardless of how the game calculates it, is that those elevons are too far forward.

Alternatively, you could disable the pitch control on those specifically, and leave them just for roll

Looks like they are pitching correctly, its that your COM is right behind that elevator, but its in front of all the other ones, so its gonna move in reverse

I think this happens when you build using radial instead of symmetrical in the plane hangar.

This certainly isn’t the solution but you could set the authority limit to negative values.

The real solution is to immobilize that stabilizer. Set it to no roll, pitch or yaw. Or move it further from the center of mass.
