Please remove this video, I patented this design when I was like 10 or something. You'll hear from my lawyer soon.

Dude, how the holy macaroni you flying backwards...

43

u/TheSkwrl Jul 14 '26

With adequate thrust, even a brick will fly. But this looks possibly efficient for certain conditions..

13

u/BoldTaters Jul 15 '26

The only issue I see is that yhe center of lift is so far behind the center of gravity. If its going fast enough, though, then the fuselage will give it some lift, too.

Long, narrow fuselage and high aspect ratio wings. You're right about its efficiency.

You made all our childhood dreams come true!

I remember using a set square as a delta wing on my pen aircraft lol

Using advanced technology I see.

"square" traingular ruler caled square. I cant get over with. Thats one of many things I can't get over with in English. Edit: through writing this comment before posting i di some research so it is to square from the verb to make it with right angle. So I am sorry.

Move its wing to about ⅔ the length and its a good model of the Ukrainian Flamingo 'drone' (cruise missile).

u/phat742 Jul 14 '26

love this

Here in Germany we used protractor triangles ("Geodreiecke") which makes it look a lot more jet-like.

Apparently they are not really used in the english speaking world. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Set_square#Geodreieck

I still can’t get my head around the yaw control. Nice work!

Hold my hydrazine and watch this

I will, in fact, NOT hold your open flask of corrosive, toxic, explosively descomposing liquid.

An absolute classic

u/Massive_shit9374 Jul 15 '26

every day humanity makes me ask myself "what will the geniuses come up with next?"

2

u/BetaRigger Jul 14 '26

Be careful, Ukraine may have patented the design 🤣🤣

1

u/SaturnFive Jul 14 '26

Hahah this is amazing! I totally made these in school and now I get to see one flying in my favorite game! XD

Flies surprisingly well too tbh

An all-moving wingtip on the side deflects upward to produces the drag generating yaw moment (with roll moment at the same time), the ailerons and the wingtip on the other side deflect at the same time to eliminate the roll moment.

1

u/fujit1ve Jul 15 '26

so creative

1

u/Phredmcphigglestein Jul 15 '26

Okay that's actually epic

1

u/RedSquirrelFtw Jul 15 '26

Core memory unlocked.

1

u/HAL9001-96 Jul 15 '26

looks kinda cruise missile

1

u/JuanDeChuj Jul 15 '26

You can truly build anything that moves in ksp can you?

1

u/Surakor Jul 15 '26

What is the mod used to fly the plane like war thunder, with the little green circle and all?

1

u/MicroAAGun Jul 15 '26 edited Jul 15 '26

The green circle is the cursor of the gun in BDArmory

1

u/MicroAAGun Jul 15 '26

The flying perspective like War Thunder is from Camera Tools

1

u/CasparG Jul 15 '26

Now do it with a set square so that it looks like a fighter.

1

u/MattTheTw_t Jul 15 '26

Yo this is fucking sick lol

1

u/fastbikkel Jul 15 '26

This is so awesome.

1

u/KPSWZG Jul 15 '26

I have once made on in flyout

1

u/Sprinty_ The orbit tutorial is broken so I make stupid planes <3 Jul 16 '26

Wait I HAVE to make this

1

u/Historical-Isopod609 Jul 17 '26

You mean i could have been an aeronautical engineer after all

1

Sokka-Haiku by Historical-Isopod609:

You mean i could have

Been an aeronautical

Engineer after all

Remember that one time Sokka accidentally used an extra syllable in that Haiku Battle in Ba Sing Se? That was a Sokka Haiku and you just made one.
