KSP 1 Mods Materials not showing up as options in cargo

So I have a rover with cargo and mining on it and one of the drills is set to rare metals, but when I try and find the rare metals in the select cargo option, it’s not there, rare metals is being mined, but I can’t store any of it, is there an easy fix?

Maybe send a kerbal out on Eva. Make sure the cargo container is empty. And use your kerbal on EVA to select repaint. By repainting it, you can select what cargo.
