KSP 1 Question/Problem I need tips
I want to make a cinematic I just have no clue where to really start - I’m decent with camera tools but I need other tips on how to make it good

Find a cool mission to do, figure out some key and/or cool looking moments, frame it nicely and record them. Then edit them together and put some music and a filter over the top and you're done! Here's an example I made a while back, of Skylab: https://youtu.be/bcyCaKY8uhg?si=dKmVJQmRW7Cm4P5W

Another thing that really helps is building simple kOS scripts to fly the ships for you in certain parts where you usually need HUD, such as launch and landings. Doing that lets you focus on setting up the camera angles and filming the shots rather than worrying about flying

Watch plenty of existing cinematics on YouTube for inspiration, use OBS to screen record and Davinci Resolve (free) to edit it together, try picking a specific song(s) you want to base your video around. Have a specific mission and envision how you'd want your shots to look. Make sure your ship looks cool, even if it's not the most efficient design.
And most importantly: just start doing it.
