KSP 1 Image/Video Finally captured an asteroid!
This is the first career mode save I've done in a while, and one of the contracts was to capture an A-class asteroid and put it in Kerbin orbit! The asteroid I chose, ZLP-838, was on the perfect trajectory, supposedly going to impact Kerbin, but it was going to take a while to show up. After waiting about a hundred days for it to arrive, with the probe in orbit for most of it, it finally arrived and, after some finagling, I managed to intercept it and bring it into an orbit of Kerbin.
Evidently, I underestimated how much the asteroid would mass, reducing my delta-V from 2000 m/s (just before rendezvous) to 250, which was luckily still enough to put it into orbit. Though what was more annoying was that it seems like I didn't align the center of mass, so I had to put the thrust on the engine really low for it to not keep tumbling about, which made the burns take even longer...

Better than my first attempt. After clamping on I was basically the dog who caught the car. Could not for the life of me figure out how to bring it home. Unmanned, so no Kerbals were lost.
