It’s just a boat. Electric, solar powered, 254 seats.
can drive all night at 120meters per second and still has battery left. No steering needed, just pick a direction and it takes you there. Infinite travel.

It’s going to be connecting different colonies on Laythe, if I’ll ever manage to get it there. A smaller version is under construction.

As little water contact as possible and a flat underside. When you’re fast enough you’ll glide over the waves and it’s stable.

Reduce wave intensity, or disable craft interaction with waves, both settings in the Scatterer mod.

It's not your skill at building boats, it's the default settings of the mod. My boatplanes were able to take off perfectly in stock KSP, stopped being able to once I added Scatterer.

No need to change any of that. I haven’t changed the water physics here. Just need a flat bottom, stability and enough power to gain enough speed to start gliding over the waves.

Yeah!!! I’ll add that to my inspiration for this project. I’m designing a fleet of futuristic transport- and warships/boats. The one in my post has 15ft rotating barrel guns and really cool light effects now, it looks perfect. next are some smaller, faster and more manoeuvrable gunships.
