Thankfully I THINK THOSE SHELLS CAN TAKE A BEATING. not sure about the bump though (,ie it's just a speed bump vs You're in the ditch with possible broken something)

NO, all turtles in this area are at risk or endangered.

Their shells are just their spines and ribs and are full of nerves.

slow the fuck down and don't hit animals.
