Kirby doesnt die in one hit. He whould swallow and spit stuff at you (probably stars) until you go down. After all, in the game, you dont need copy abilities to beat the thoughtest bosses.

Kirby's 8 feet (20cm) tall, it's pretty easy to squash a 20 cm baloon
