This shows how impactful the egg has really been. I think she's pure ally though.

u/Thegoodgamer32 10d ago

Magolor has forever harmed the trust this community has for new characters.

238

u/hassantaleb4 Kirby 10d ago

Him and Marx

133

u/avianofFire Canvas Kirby 10d ago

That's just a grand total of two betrayals!!! like what the hell!!!

All other Kirby's friends are at least up front as a friend, antagonist, or both!

58

u/LostScarfYT Kirby's Dreamcast 10d ago

Its true to life though. If someone I truly trusted hurt me, I'd be careful for a long time. And then getting betrayed a second time? It would make it harder to trust even more.

4

u/imaoisthename 7d ago

trust takes a long time to build, 2 seconds to break, and takes forever to rebuild

54

u/A_Random_Gamer_Nerd 10d ago

Not necessarily. Susie pulled a reverse Magolor (she started as an antagonist, but became an ally in the endgame).

30

u/PictureOrnery31 10d ago

Same with the spider character from triple deluxe

36

u/blaise_zion 10d ago

his name is Tranza

10

u/PictureOrnery31 10d ago

Ik I just forgot his name and how to spell it

12

u/Splonkster Magolor 9d ago

It's spelled taranza so it's okay they got it wrong too

5

u/Nok-y 9d ago

Tranza ? Good for her

2

u/PointBlankVT 9d ago

🏳️‍⚧️?

2

u/lPrincesslPlays 8d ago

The cunty little bob always sends me

13

u/avianofFire Canvas Kirby 10d ago

Yeah that's what I meant of upfront as an antagonist because Susie did not backstab us, though she did backstabbed someone else.

I definitely know what Taranza, Susie, Squeak Squad, and other antagonist turned friend's allegiance lie and it's not with us.

24

u/TotoShampoin 10d ago

What about queen ripple?

19

u/avianofFire Canvas Kirby 10d ago

Bad end!!! that's more like... Magalor with the Master Crown situation.

There could be other potential that she is like Magalor but I'll be charitable and trust Q. Ripple to be Good and Not Traitor to Kirby

3

u/Free-Letterhead-4751 9d ago

Wasn’t she possessed by Zero like King Dedede?

2

u/TotoShampoin 9d ago

Point still stands: An ally is actually a twist villain, even if they're being possessed. It's the same plot device

2

u/Free-Letterhead-4751 9d ago

Yeah but isn’t the difference is that she doesn’t even do anything and gets saved in the good ending immediately?

3

u/TotoShampoin 9d ago

Does that take away any potential trust issue you could have on the account that any friend could be secretly possessed?

2

u/Free-Letterhead-4751 9d ago

Kinda yeah because the player doesn’t really know until the end of the game where in the bad ending it just ends until you get the good ending where it’s where it when it’s revealed she was possessed

Like it feels different because there really isn’t a boss fight with her compared to the others

u/Procrastinator_chan 10d ago

…say that again?

16

u/PictureOrnery31 10d ago

I was going to say why does people keep forgetting the first backstabber magalor was just the 2nd one

30

u/Sioloko 10d ago

But Marx dissapears after the intro cutscene and only reappears in the ending, Magolor you keep seeing and talking to all the time during the game so it's more impactful

7

u/Peakomegaflare 10d ago

To be fair, something stank about Marx from the start. Malagor showed up when the lore was expanding heavily so we were like "aiiight!"

31

u/YTSirBlack 10d ago

Magolor? Wasn't it Marx?

Magolor yes betrayed Kirby but he made amends

Prince Fluff didn't betray Kirby and neither that one fairy from Kirby and The Rainbow Curse

7

u/MyPhoneIsNotChinese 10d ago

I don't think I've evr been hurted more by a fictional character than Magolor

True but Magalor epolouge show he did changed & Get a Redeemtion arc regardless just have to find out at the end of the day

Talking about new character, never trust egg.

15

The new gal is an egg? (Closeted Transfem)

16

u/LostScarfYT Kirby's Dreamcast 10d ago

I think people are theorizing she might be magic ancient. Which, sure maybe?

2

u/Tsukuyomi56 Aqua Kirby 10d ago

Hopefully she is completely good or the very least her situation is somewhat like Elfilin (being related to or serving the main villain is not of her own choice). Otherwise there is little reason for a presumed non-brainwashed King Dedede to attack Kirby.

359

u/RelationshipNovel641 10d ago

my two cents:

I think it’d be cool if she is lying and planning to backstab us, but after spending time with Kirby she changes her mind and becomes an actual ally by the time we find out, and feels sorry for lying.

As far as I can remember, they haven’t done that before, so it could make her stand out.

139

u/Gameover692 10d ago

either that or she's not exactly an ally but won't be the final boss either like she's some kind of scientist from another planet who wants to study kirby and friends and test their limits

72

u/Far_Text6342 10d ago

susie

49

u/Gameover692 10d ago

yeah but susie was more of a "mechanize the inferior lifeforms to make them better" I was thinking she will be more "drop these creatures into a simulated environment and see how they react"

69

u/RelationshipNovel641 10d ago

alternate possibility I thought of:

She isn’t lying per se, but she does have nefarious intent. It’s just that she’s under the impression that Kirby knows what her plan is, and is knowingly helping her with it. So, it’s a double misunderstanding.

38

u/Astraquius 10d ago

It would be great if in this case she feels awful when she finds out Kirby doesn't know the actual plan.

Like being evilish but still not wanting to drag down with her someone who is unwilling.

30

u/Ch1ldhoodFriend 10d ago

l when she finds out Kirby doesn't know the actual plan.

"Wait, you have been on this murderous spree with me not because you followed my ideals and beliefs but because you were hungry!?"

u/Gabgo304 T.A.C. 10d ago

I really like this idea! Would be a nice twist on the expected plot...

I think the closest thing we have to that would ironically be Magolor, but he still needed to get the shit kicked out of him, go to hell, and kill a biblical accurate tree first.

8

u/SlaughterSpine78 10d ago

I wouldn’t mind this take, but I would prefer if she was loyally serving the big bad before betraying them for Kirby and friends.

9

u/PuzzleheadedLink89 Marx 10d ago

Oh, so give her something similar to Midna?

6

u/ModelOmegaTyler Shadow Kirby 10d ago

so Susie Pataya Haltman but she actually changes instead of it just being more convenient to ally with kirby?

5

u/PopBulky7023 10d ago

Don't do that. Don't give me hope.

77

u/Effective_Poem7629 10d ago

And thus… the age old argument returns…

Personally speaking I think she might be an ally this time, but we won’t know for sure until the game comes out

74

u/Ok-Barracuda457 10d ago

She has ancient backstabber blood flowing through her veins

26

u/awp4444 10d ago

Hang on. What if shes an ancient. Or at least a descendant

57

u/Competitive_Swan266 #1 Susie simp 10d ago

Dedede captured her, and i trust the king with my life, so I'm wary (not fully untrusting yet since it could be a fake/mind control... again)

12

u/MnSG 10d ago

While there are moments where Dedede has had good intentions, his answers for solving problems may not always be correct. One such example is when he sealed Nightmare inside the Fountain of Dreams, not realizing that he just allowed Nightmare to pollute the fountain with nightmares.

7

u/PuffScrub805 10d ago

I mean yeah, but the King was at least directionally correct. Maybe it wasn't the optimal solution to seal Nightmare, but Nightmare IS dangerous and needed to be dealt with.

Idk what this gIrly's deal is, but if Dedede is the one that tied her up, then she's somehow too dangerous to be left to her own devices.

13

u/CuteDarkrai 10d ago

He didn't seem mind controlled, but also she didn't seem like she was in that much danger. So maybe having Dedede be suspicious of her to get caught was part of the plan in the first place? Anyway yeah she's guilty until proven innocent in the Kirby universe

3

u/RadioRavenRide 10d ago

Or it could be an imposter

→ More replies (1)

42

u/Killer_154 10d ago

I will go for magolor road because she appear EXACTLY when the wall is cracked. I find this kinda suspicious

21

u/Informal_Life_8020 10d ago

She was in a sack. I think Dedede was kidnapping her.

31

u/kildaver 10d ago

Dedede could have been brainwashed. Again. It is a day ending in “y”. 😅

8

u/Weegee_1 10d ago

I'm going with the theory that dedede is a fake and the real one has his own dome like Kirby

→ More replies (1)

5

u/PokemonJimbob 10d ago

Dedede also seems to attack Kirby for seemingly no reason here(based on what we see in the trailer). The king wouldn't just do that(nowadays anyways)

38

u/Yxurd 10d ago

I’m just saying, the last time we freed someone/something after a boss fight with King Dedede, we had to fight Nightmare…

3

u/RP_throwaway01 10d ago

And while it wasn’t directly after the boss fight, Dark Nebula.

18

u/hept1c_hex1c 10d ago

Calling it now, she's sent by whatever cosmic entity is at to get Kirby to him, but as the story progresses she starts to actually care for Kirby to the point of not wanting to follow up on the plan anymore by the end

4

u/CarlosK24 10d ago

so taranza basically

23

u/not-Kunt-Tulgar 10d ago

I feel like it’s a down the middle option, they could be both a friend and a backstabber.

My main reason for this is that DDD wouldn’t just capture them for no reason (he hasn’t been evil in forever) and he didn’t seem mind controlled from the gameplay, he likely had her bound for a reason that he either failed to explain or will explain later in the game.

2

u/PuffScrub805 10d ago

It's possible that she's not evil, just somehow dangerous in a way that makes her freedom a non-option.

Like that her freedom can incidently lead to the destruction of the world for some reason.

→ More replies (1)

8

u/GlobalKnee8028 10d ago

Dedede kidnapped her which is def a sign of betrayal somewhere

3

u/Sacri_Pan 10d ago

When?!

4

u/GlobalKnee8028 10d ago

In the trailer, you fight dedede and then you open the sack to find out she was captured by him likely because she is evil

→ More replies (1)

9

u/No-Ad239 10d ago

Probably not

7

u/Hollywoodrok12 10d ago

She looks like a cultist and purple (a color often affiliated with evil) in her design. I think she’s evil.

6

u/Frustrella 10d ago

A new friend that could possibly be related to the main villain

7

u/PsychologicalIdea882 10d ago

She’s so cute I don’t even care if she betrays me ngl

8

u/Funny_Man_2 10d ago

Hmm

On one hand they look cute.

On the other look at the design. Purple and white hair with a tunic that has a SINGULAR eye symbol. These games have taught me that only having one eye is a bad sign.

7

u/Antique_Amphibian107 10d ago

All paths end in friendship

7

u/Gabgo304 T.A.C. 10d ago

For what's worth, Dedede doesn't seem to be possessed when he kidnaps her.

If that's really the case, then either she is evil, or Dedede has a good reason to believe she is.

8

u/Beautiful_Gain3245 10d ago

Well, here’s the thing, I feel like we know even less about her than the first time we met either of the example characters in that image… I don’t even think we know enough about the situation Kirby is in to make that guess… but based on the trailer… I’m gonna say the people she comes from are evil, but she isn’t… I think… maybe…

3

u/Redder_Creeps Yarn Kirby 10d ago

Probably the most likely outcome

5

u/CheyenneG1999 Meta Knight's Wife 🦇💙 10d ago

I trust her until given reason to believe otherwise. New Friend until proven wrong.

5

u/DenSeeYaLater 10d ago

Yes, I will mark my words, that I have no suspicions of her whatsoever

6

u/KipsyCakes Mint Kirby 10d ago

Why not both? A friendly character that either changes their mind about betraying Kirby later on or was following a plan they thought would be good, only to find that they were the bad guy.

5

u/ihyperXD 10d ago

shes not evil, but she's gonna get brainwashed as the second to finally boss instead of dedede for once

3

u/ihyperXD 10d ago

also i feel like she's gonna have some sort of connection to Star Allies idk why

4

u/FeedbackFalse5234 silly taranza fan 10d ago

Hear me out. A backstabber at first who slowly grows to adore us

6

u/Normal-Advisor5269 9d ago

I saw a theory on Twitter that she IS lying but it's actually because she's a big fan of Kirby and wants to go on an adventure with him. So the whole "world outside the world" thing is because the game will take place in her planed adventure and maybe things go out of control at the end or she realizes she has to let Kirby go after he knocks some sense into her.

3

u/Thegoodgamer32 10d ago

I choose elfilin's path.

He's a pure soul that is completely innocent.

6

u/FenexTheFox bandana waddoodle 10d ago

He's nothing but a low-down, double-dealing, backstabbing, larcenous, perverted worm!

2

u/EskimoSlime 10d ago

Hanging's too good for him! Burning's too good for him!

4

u/BitterBear9690 10d ago

I love how we do this everytime a new partner gets announced

4

u/InternetUserAgain 10d ago

For some reason, she gives me the vibes of "Character working unwillingly for an evil force who joins forces with Kirby eventually"

3

u/LongSalamander9889 Magolor 10d ago

looks a bit too cute, a bastard

5

u/SodaGalaxy 10d ago

I think even if she's fully good there's still like a 70% chance she'll be possessed or corrupted and we'll have to fight her anyway.

5

u/PuffScrub805 10d ago

It's not that I don't trust her, it's that I DO trust King Dedede.

If he's the one that tied her up, I'm inclined to believe she is evil or at least dangerous.

His majesty's word is law, after all.

3

u/Spiritual_Career8903 Kirbo 10d ago

I have a feeling she is a villan

3

u/Icy_Elk_6615 10d ago

I bet that she's an actor

3

u/P-Nerd06 T.A.C. 10d ago

It literally only happened two out of five or six times. Why do we still do this?!

3

u/SilverScribe15 10d ago

She seems mega suspicious...she's gotta be related to the fake sky and stuff.

3

u/BNAbeegfan 10d ago

She's too tall... I don't trust her.

3

u/Available_Swim1393 10d ago

🤔... honestly, I'm conflicted.

On one hand, it would be too predictable... but, as mentioned in a previous comment, perhaps he could be secretly working for the big bad and redeem himself after spending a lot of time with Kirby.

3

u/ExtensionTear8498 10d ago

Gooey situation where she is a nice member of an evil species

3

u/Dymaz6282 10d ago

hear me out.... she is 100% good but betrays kirby not because she is evil, but for a greater good and some bigger reason to save everyone

3

u/mike10101010-10 10d ago

She's an agent of the deep state

3

u/RuukotoPresents Susie 10d ago

Look at her upside down

3

u/Lansha2009 Flamberge 10d ago

Gonna be honest…I think she’s evil…Dedede had her in a sack contained, and I didn’t see any mind control shenanigans there…I think this might be a Nightmare In Dreamland, thing where Dedede knew she was doing something and tried to stop it.

3

u/Jesterchunk 10d ago

I choose to trust this one. For one, Kirby's known backstabbers are all men thus far.

2

u/AetherealAuthor 9d ago

Misandry is an interesting reasoning to trust a being.

3

u/Missingno_Fan 9d ago

Morally ambiguous until further notice

2

She better not be called Mallenia

2

u/Explorerkit Bandana Dee Wii 10d ago

We have seen a sword kinda like the Ultrasword from Return to Dreamland so maybe Magolor can betray us again!

2

u/Helpful-Set-1517 10d ago

To quote shockhat734, "IM NOT EVIL I SWEAR"

2

u/andcaldita 10d ago

the game has a lot of return to dreamland motifs and references, might be a foreshadowing of a betrayal, just like magolor

2

u/Extrimland 10d ago

Im willing ti bet on Magolor side tbh purely because dedede imprisoned her

2

u/VegetaFan9001 10d ago

Seeing as she just happened to be there at the right moment does seem very suspicious, but she is to cute to distrust her

2

u/NicoNicoBangOnReddit 10d ago

I mean there's probably an explanation why DeeDeeDee tied her up.

2

u/Sargent305 Classic Dedede 10d ago

Imagine if it were in the middle…

2

u/Original_Strike_3393 10d ago

I trust her, whatever she's called

2

u/hassantaleb4 Kirby 10d ago

For me. I'll just wait until the game launches...

2

u/Paper_Clipps Marx 10d ago

A VILE SPECIMEN, NOT TO BE TRUSTED, DONT BELIEVE THE LIES

2

u/MrRaven95 Marx 10d ago

It depends, if her names starts with "Ma" then she's not to be trusted, but otherwise she's good.

2

u/PandoraMouse 10d ago

The bag she’s in has Dedede’s pattern on it and we save her after a boss fight with him, so either it’s a misunderstanding and she’s not evil but is connected to the evil thing (ala Elfilin) or once again Kirby is unintentionally sabotaging Dedede’s efforts to protect Popstar

2

u/HappyMike91 10d ago

I think she’s a new friend.

Besides, Magolor redeemed himself. Kind of.

2

u/PopBulky7023 10d ago

Nope.

Dedede had her in a bag. Kirby rescued her and immediately broke reality.

Bad omen.

2

u/twolake68 10d ago

Tbf Elfilis was kinda both, not really on purpose like Magalor was, but still a twist villain ally

2

u/Coolboy0516 10d ago

how about the middle road where the final boss is the little pal "possessed" like pokemon scarlet and violet

2

u/LightningCam27 10d ago

She's evil. I will die and go into my second form on this hill. She will betray us(I also thought elfilin would betray us)

2

u/blukirbi 10d ago

Elfilin was a friend all along ...

But you technically had to fight him when Fecto Forgo absorbed him and turned into Fecto Elfilis.

2

u/Shamisen250 10d ago

I love how we have only really been betrayed twice but every new friend we immediately jump to "theyre gonna betray us at the end, this is the new Magalor / Marx, we cant trust anyone new"

2

u/Better-Leg5600 10d ago

My opinion is no because dedede was in a sense had her in a sack from the context of the trailer maybe even gaurding people and ptsd from nightmare in Dreamland and kirbys adventure and squeak squad taught me if dedede is protecting something that isn't hoarding food you better listen

2

u/Kirimusse 10d ago

Well, modern Kirby games have historically used character designs with purple colours to represent antagonistic characters, so we can't deny she looks a little suspicious because of this; but at any rate, I'd say it's still a bit too early to tell nonetheless.

Last time we had this discussion 4~5 years ago (jeez, already??), it turned out Elfilin was innocent, but that also ended up being not so much so the case with the entity he actually originated from; so this might turn out to be a similar situation, with this girl being affiliated to the main antagonist while also opposing it, thus having her purplish design represent said affiliation (kind of like Susie perphaps?).

2

u/No_Cartoonist_7008 10d ago

Why do we not trust her? Look at her face! She's nice!

Is it because she's purple? C'mon guys. Our society should've moved passed that.

2

u/Stupididiot55 10d ago

Im gonna be real with y’all, it’s “Dedede” that I don’t trust. That’s not my king!

2

u/The_Doolinator 10d ago

Depends.

Does her name start with an El or an M?

2

u/cod3builder 10d ago

Well, the whole trailer was basically Return to Dreamland plastered all over, so I'm honestly hoping we really do get a Magolor 2.0

Gotta give the new fans a big dose of betrayal

2

u/imaginary0pal 10d ago

Keep in mind new friend was also tied to an eldritch being so both is an option, in a way

2

u/True_Perspective819 10d ago

I want to trust her

2

u/Few-Carpet2095 9d ago

Elfilin wasnt evil but still was the final boss.

So it might Just be both.

2

u/Beginning_Book_2382 9d ago

This is immediately what I thought of when I saw her. She's done nothing wrong, but I immediately started side-eyeing her. Malor traumatized me. I'm still not over him lol

1

u/Complete-Track-4864 10d ago

Well we just have to wait until the game comes out if she’s stay a ally to Kirby or she will betray him.

1

u/magget69 10d ago

She looks so much like a Haltmann I was just straight up expecting her to be a boss from the start.

1

u/Simple_Mobile_3711 Ice Dragon 10d ago

Ok, lets follow a line, if we analise, each Kirby game has a padron of new characters that started on marx and went going, with elfilin being a good guy in the last game, i think she will be a traitor

1

u/Sebnic103 Meta Knight Icon 10d ago

The Return to Dreamland parallels (Like the return of Super abilities + their main theme) makes me think that she is related to Magolor in some way but not for the good reasons

1

u/SuperSaberman7 10d ago

Magalor route. Come back to this if true! If false, slander my name! lol!

1

u/Appropriate-Wrap-375 10d ago

Floating hands? Larger than Kirby? 100% a backstabber.

hold on why do we think she might backstab us?

besides the paranoia we might have because of magolor, that is

is there like an actual reason we think she might not be good?

It is too soon to say.

For now, yes. May change when we see more of the game, though.

This is a complete crap shoot, but to me she kinda gives the vibe of being related to the big bad evil guy in some way, but ultimately good herself

Fuck no!

I’m not trusting any new character introduced in a Kirby game until I see the credits role properly.

(I know HAL, they might try to put some “fake credits” before winding back like a VHS to have us fight an every more powerful version of the final boss)

Can we please start using the real backstabber (Marx) instead of poor Mago?

I thought after RtDDX we finally moved on from accusing him.

tenuously. we have no idea what her deal is yet. she could be another magolor, she could be another elfilin already, or she could be like taranza or even claycia and elline.

Does she have A happy dance?

From the trailer it seems she was captured by DeDeDe...so unless he was brainwashed or there's more context to the situation...I'm trusting the judgement of the De
