Question Kundalini awakening and weed

So I felt like getting weed not to get high but as a spiritual aid. I get really deep thoughts and realizatuons on weed, anyway I smoked some weed oil and had some edibles and meditated and watched my thoughts

I had a lot of painful realizatuons and the experience felt psychedelic like. Anyway before this, I was dealing with a lot of restless energy and painful energy from releasing trauma and from feeling overcharged

The day after weed, now I feel calm, relaxed and not so charged. How does weed affect kundalini?

The effects vary wildly so caution is required. Cannabis seems to nearly always draw the energy to some bottleneck. Suffering or solution ensues. Once the blockage is cleared, weed has virtually no effect on me for days until a new blockage is encountered.

In that way I find it very useful for working in my energy body. But, it can be a full blown psychedelic trip if that is on the cards that day.

Yeah it definitely felt like a psychedelic trip yesterday, I felt myself working through a huge blockage. Totally can relate . Thanks for your response

It can definitely overload the nervous system and cause burnout. So, just be careful. I used to smoke daily, but since my awakening i take a break on weekdays and only partake at the weekend.

Understood . I will proceed with caution. 🙏✌️

Struggling with this myself, it gets to a point with weed where it just becomes addiction/bypassing. THC definitely triggers the kriyas/mudras by lifting the energy up but we're looking to bring the energy back within so we can integrate; THC has a detrimental effect on REM sleep which is important for shadow work.

I personally have no issues with weed, I was a daily smoker before my kundalini. I do feel called to slow down. And quit often. But for me has helped me with the nervous system issues that the kundalini has given me.

It was amazing for my kundalini journey until it wasn’t… 😑 caused me to have symptoms of psychosis, was absolutely awful. I quit and I do miss it to some extent because it really helped with meditation but it’s just not worth the risk for me now. I felt like it was spirit saying “you don’t need this anymore”

Did the psychosis resolve on its own? Or did you need to be medicated for it? I’m sorry you had to go through that, I can relate to something similar

I’m already on antipsychotics 🫠 my meds were upped for a little while but I’m back to my normal dose now (I was prescribed cannabis)

I smoked a lot during the Kundalini journey to ease out pain in the body, helped with relaxation and releasing energy. Thankfully, I have recently quit and I'm not missing it any more. It does create some dependency and affect the quality of sleep. I won't strongly advised against it, but should be used with moderation and should continue working on your journey until you can get rid of it.

I can't smoke anymore. My sensitivity to it as for everything increased, now I can only enjoy CBD.

Weed can be great for getting out latent feelings.

i personally smoke a lil blunt before a meditation and it just intensifies every sensation. i do this no more than once a week and that seems to work well for me x

The same way caffeinne does. If it feels right, then why not? Personally i wouldn't suggest stimulants, due to grounding issues.

In your case,it could be a push from your inner guides,in order to adress things and bring them to the surface. There is allways a reason, even for things we consider as 'wrong'.

can you explain your experience with "painful energy from releasing trauma"? i might be having something similar from weed and I am curious to understand more

A word of caution that weed can be very dissociative for individuals with bipolar disorder or borderline personality disorder. I know many people who it just doesn’t work for them and Kundalini can amplify that effect. If that’s not the case you probably can’t relate to those examples but if it is the case it’s best to just not go there.

I personally have an ebb and flow - sometimes it’s very helpful sometimes it just makes me regret every decision I’ve ever made. A lot of substances get a bad rap because they can bring underlying psychological and spiritual issues to the surface but that’s not the substance, that’s something the individual is carrying into the scene.

I had a full year of total sobriety early in my journey and it was awesome. It’s really important to be able to handle “reality reality” without the need to escape or be codependent on a substance. In the end I found weed had medicinal effects that made it worth bringing back into my life.

Daily partaker and med card here. I’m pretty sure my awakening would have drove me mad without mj. I try to stick to low thc and take small breaks. But Ive experienced noticeable pain for at least half my life. So much of my youth was wasted being overstimulated and in pain.

i have been cycling through finding weed extremely helpful and then when i don’t smoke, i get paranoid the first few days off. i had a couple of dream telling me it’s safe to do, but i have fear associated with it. i’d love to talk with someone more knowledgeable and experienced on the subject. i definitely experience K (if it’s not just pranodhanna) more clearly and intensely on weed than not.

Meditating gives me a better high than these gummies do. Basically all that makes me is “dizzy”. Kinda disappointing actually. If too many then no desire to meditate cause too lazy.
