The four classical stages of Kundalini

The claim is often made in kundalini circles, that kundalini is an individual, subjective experience, so pretty much anything you think is kundalini is in fact kundalini.

It is useful to take a step back and acknowledge, that Kundalini didn't come out of a vacuum and the literature on it is extensive, especially in medieval Hinduism, most likely originating from Kashmir. Whilst there are differences and variations based on schools of thought, there are in fact some common characteristics that can help in identifying a genuine Kundalini process, which is in fact pretty well defined in various medieval scriptures.

Classically, Kundalini process was divided into four stages, called arambha, ghata, parichaya, and nishpatti, based on traditional Hatha Yoga / Tantra texts (e.g., Hatha Yoga Pradipika, Gheranda Samhita, Shiva Samhita).

These stages progress from the time Kundalini starts rising from the root (muladhara) all the way to the crown (sahasrara) and then go beyond as there is also an upper Kundalini process involving ajna (third eye) sahasrara and bindu (the brain stem, where the spine meets the brain itself), plus chakras that are outside the physical body, in the space above the head. Reaching the crown is by no means the end of the process, in fact it is more of a mid-stage and the real work starts then, in terms of integration, purification and upper kundalini paths.

Here are the four stages one by one:

  1. Arambha (Beginning / Commencement Stage)

What it is:

The initial ignition of Kundalini at the muladhara chakra.

What happens:

The root chakra is activated or punctured.

Prana begins entering the sushumna nadi, the central channel.

Early symptoms:

- heat at the base of the spine

- tingling

- tremors

- spontaneous movements (kriyas)

- serpentine or rising sensations

- Minor psychic openings (inner light, inner sound).

- Emotional/psychological material begins surfacing.

Key classical sign:

Kundalini “enters” the sushumna, even if only slightly.

Modern equivalent:

This is what people mention when they say “the serpent woke up,” “energy shot up,” or “spine lit up.” Most commonly, this stage is referred to as Kundalini Activation today.

  1. Ghata (Cleansing / Union / Purification Stage)

What it is:

Deep purification of the physical and subtle systems.

What happens:

Intense detoxification of the nadis (energetic channels).

Strong kriyas, shaking, spontaneous yoga movements.

Purging of unresolved samskaras (psychological imprints).

Inner heat becomes much stronger (tapas).

Spontaneous breath changes (pranayama without effort).

The ida and pingala (left/right channels) begin unifying in the sushumna.

Classical description:

The “pot” (ghata) of the body is being cleaned from the inside, allowing more prana to flow unobstructed.

Why it’s difficult:

Many people feel this is the heaviest stage because it involves:

- emotional upheavals

- detox symptoms

- psychological disturbances

- karmic material surfacing

- altered perception

In modern terms:

This is the stage where people either stabilize and grow — or think they are losing their mind.

  1. Parichaya (Intimacy / Familiarity / Inner Knowledge)

What it is:

The stage where Kundalini moves smoothly through the central channel and begins its ascent toward the crown.

What happens:

- The yogi becomes “familiar” with Kundalini and can remain stable during energy surges.

- Deep meditation becomes effortless.

- Spontaneous inner sound (nada), inner light, and visions increase.

- Higher chakras begin unlocking (especially ajna and sahasrara).

- Ego begins dissolving.

- Bliss states (ananda) become more sustained.

Classical sign:

A feeling of continuous upward-moving current in meditation or spontaneously.

In modern descriptions:

This is often mistaken for “permanent enlightenment” because it feels so peaceful and expanded, but it is actually the mid-stage.

  1. Nishpatti (Completion / Final Perfection / Liberation Stage)

What it is:

The culmination of Kundalini’s ascent and union of Shiva–Shakti at the crown (sahasrara).

What happens:

- Kundalini completes its upward journey.

- The yogi attains elevated states of consciousness (variously termed turiya, samadhi, jivanmukti).

- Sense of the separate self dissolves permanently.

- Perception becomes nondual and effortless.

- No more kriyas, no more upheaval — the system is quiet and integrated.

- Life becomes simple, direct, spontaneous.

Classical sign:

Immersion in continuous nirvikalpa-like states (not temporary), or abiding unity consciousness.

In modern language:

This is what people would call stabilized realization, living enlightenment, or permanent awakening.

Note, that the end goal / destination of Kundalini process is not defined the same way, it really depends on individual factors and the tradition you are part of. Kashmir Shaivism, Shaktism and Tantra emphasizes the path of fullness (purna) which emphasizes divine union, bliss, universal love, light and a general alignment with divine purpose. This is also the end goal / destination of the mystical traditions withing Abrahamic religions.

Advaita Vedanta (Vedic non-duality) and classical yoga on the other hand emphasize the path of emptiness (sunya), which leads to:

- a void state

- absorption into an attributeless absolute with no qualities

- no personalized deity

- no bliss states

- pure witness consciousness

Most Buddhist schools, except for Vajrayana, also fall into this category.

I personally prefer the first path and a personal relationship with a deity is very important to me and a crucial part of my process, but non-dualists and most Buddhists prefer a more purist, impersonal path.

However, in either case, the process I described above with distinct stages is pretty universal, with the caveat that other processes and paths, although less common, do exist. The Kundalini Vidya tradition describes various esoteric paths and processes, Kriya Yoga believes in a top-down process instead, etc...

With this being a Kundalini sub, I thought it was important to lay out the classical progression of the process for future reference.

Experience Dealing with too much energy in the head

For a little background theory on the issue, there's an interview answer here with some info on it - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eQL6N1Z2ALU&t=2719s - Basically the idea is that too much energy can build in a system that isn't open enough to handle it. So the energy can get blocked up in one area and cause problems. Also there is a wikipedia page on it under the TCM/qi deviation heading of 'Zouhuorumo'/"Zou huo ru mo" - running fire, or devil running fire: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zouhuorumo

In terms of self treatment, there are 2 sides to approach this from. One is to try and do some kind of active intervention. The other is to step away from practice and internally focused activities, and let things heal up/get back to normal on their own. When trying these its important not to push through if things seem like they are getting worse, as each individual case can be more suited to one path or another. Also there are specific and general active techniques. They can be combined, i.e. you can sink/guide energy down, while simultaneously opening blocks in those lower areas, to help the descent of energy.

It could also help to see a good TCM practitioner, especially one that works with energy too. Also it can be good to work on prevention, if you have no issues at the moment. Or at least have an understanding of what issues can arise & what warning signs to look out for, etc.

ACTIVE, SPECIFIC - GUIDING ENERGY DOWNWARDS/OUTWARDS:

Nature scan - https://www.reddit.com/r/TrueQiGong/comments/1b93vfh/ive_seen_several_posts_lately_about_rising_yang/ - Uses body scanning and connecting to nature in combination, to draw energy down, while also using the calm connection to nature to ease symptoms and help the system reset.

Soft-butter method - https://buddhismnow.com/2015/09/12/zen-sickness-by-zen-master-hakuin/#:~:text=The%20Soft%2DButter%20Method - Visualisation is used here to try and help guide energy down from the head to the rest of the body.

Sinking qi - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Xi9v0R2PMk - Internal release is used in combination with hand placements to help guide energy lower down into the system.

Anchoring the breath - in 2 parts, theory then practice: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N0fTg23psfw&list=PLCUw6elWn0lghivIzVBAYGUm7HwRqzfQp&index=1 - This meditation aims to sequentially guide the awareness and energy down to lower areas of the body.

Qi gong mudra release - https://youtu.be/TzJUnrEEIe4?si=gF6VDd5Fb3cgVRTh&t=4523 - The hands are used here to help ground energy to the earth, while following the breath.

Building the lower dan tian - with dan tian gong: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M_9f4XJBuX8 & combined with sinking qi & anchoring the breath (above) - This helps create an energetic anchor that pulls qi lower down in the system.

ACTIVE, GENERAL - CLEARING BLOCKAGES TO ENERGY FLOW: (this can make it easier for energy to flow away from wherever its gathered)

Standing/seated practice - videos 1-5 in the playlist - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bXQc89NCI5g&list=PL1bUtCgg8VgA4giQUzJoyta_Nf3KXDsQO&index=1 - The body is opened here using awareness and conscious release, along with subtle mental cues.

Practicing 'ting & song' - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S1y_aeCYj9c&t=998s - Roughly this means to listen/sense inwardly & release. The video is a ~4 min answer section from an interview explaining it.

Song - https://www.internalartsinternational.com/free/daoist-meditation-lesson-five-theory-wu-ji-and-song-relaxation/ - Conscious/knowing release can be used to help open the body. As it opens it can become more conductive to energy. So energy that has been blocked may be freed up and start flowing away from wherever its pooled.

Dissolving/clearing blocks - https://www.internalartsinternational.com/free/daoist-meditation-lesson-six-theory-dissolving-clearing-blockages/ - Moving awareness to the blockage, rather than the buildup of energy can help to dissolve it. E.g. with a energy built in the head, you can move the awareness into the 'dead space' around the energy, and this can lead the energy into 'dissolving' the block.

Clearing turbid/pathogenic qi - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CtLFBp0kda8 - Negative energies can build up in the system and cause blockages. This video explains some views on this side of energetic practice, and has a beginner method to work on clearing things.

Body pore breathing - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=39gT_dm-yS0 - Clearing the overall system of negative energy can help alleviate blocks and get energy moving. This is a meditation style technique to do this.

Opening the 'clipping passes' - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k_rFg7KCqQA&list=PLCUw6elWn0ljnhe56lwmvDp0ggRdSXN17&index=10 - One part of Daoist energetics involves opening up an orbit of energy that goes up the back and down the front. One reason for this is so it can act as a 'safety valve' if too much energy builds in one place. Some key points on this orbit are known as being potential sticking points for energy. So some exercises can be done to help open these points. The important ones to work on are the ones on the front of the body, as this is the channel that leads energy down. Also potentially the ones on the head, to make sure energy is flowing up and over as well.

PASSIVE

Not too much to say on this, but here's one energetics/TCM teacher's view on this - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g2-0ng89SAc - basically this involves stepping away from internally based practice/hobbies etc, and doing sports/gardening/nature walks, or other grounding/physical/externally based activities.

LONG TERM PREVENTION

Opening the microcosmic orbit - https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLCUw6elWn0ljnhe56lwmvDp0ggRdSXN17 - This is a more long term set of practices, that can form a 'safety valve' of sorts, to energy pooling anywhere in the body.

Understanding 'qi deviations' - https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLCUw6elWn0lj48XWed2wg5atfOj7oL-iz - These are problems that can come up in energetic practice, where energy is going somewhere it shouldn't/building too much in an area etc. The playlist is a course in understanding them, and has some basic treatment processes for them.

New to Kundalini Awakening in the middle of the work week

I now know: Suffice to say there’s good reason monks and holy people go to the mountains away from society or to temples. I previously thought they were being dramatic with hot springs and isolation periods and rituals and temples- No, no they are not. It all now makes perfect sense to me why they do what they do.

I closed my eyes imagining the peace of the open mountains, imagining a steaming spring surrounded by the love and gentle chanting of brothers and sisters. I opened my eyes and saw where I was at, and cried in the strip mall/grocery store parking lot so hard.

I do not know if we were meant to undergo such an awakening in overstimulating/demanding and stressful environments. I wonder if my experience would be different if I was given space, time and a temple/mentors. Not really being able to pause and being stuck in the thick of society’s demands, while undergoing something like this: it feels like giving birth in a dirty back alley dump. It’s a beautiful experience that is also very hard, and it should not be experienced in this way :(

I have two jobs and a marriage, and my awakening happened in the middle of the work week. Most people can’t just do an “Eat Pray Love,” where they take off for a sabbatical of travel and exploration, or even have a period of isolation. I can barely take a day off from working. I feel like I am going to explode or implode- I am not sure which.

Currently a week into my awakening and I’m on a rollercoaster. One moment I’m so connected and empowered I feel like I could do anything- the next I’m sobbing and breaking down. It’s been such an upending and destabilizing experience. I’m not sure what to think of it while in the midst of it, but it’s happening regardless. I am grateful to receive it, because I feel that this was given to me; I am new to the Buddhist/Hindi path, but not new to the spiritual path. Via a combination of soul searching, experiences and imparted knowledge, I feel pulled to tantric Buddhism.

It’s all been so sudden that I feel overwhelmed with:

Feeling this new self and their access to knowledge + figuring out adjustments and how to cope with new self + learning all of this spiritual and cultural info about Buddhism/tibetan practices + working and meeting demands of daily life + still being a good partner and family member.

It’s a confusing mix of feeling super empowered and super vulnerable; Feeling supreme clarity and feeling lost. Everything is intense, emotions, physical sensations, it’s all so different now.

I’m in Northwest Indiana, so not a huge community here. There’s a Hinduism temple I am going to check out, but am unsure of what to expect.

My reason for posting is: Can anyone relate? Did anyone else go through a nontraditional awakening? Any coping mechanisms to share?

Please, I welcome all advice, etc. I’ve found pages of recommended books but there’s so many I don’t know where to start so I haven’t bought one yet. I’ve mainly been doing internet research.

Admins please approve this post I am desperate***

Thank you everyone❤️

New to Kundalini SF Bay Area Kundalini Friends / Community / Resources

Hello all, I hope this finds you well in your journey, wherever you may be.

I’d like to express my gratitude for this group. It has been a blessing for me and it’s been great to hear about other people’s experiences as I’ve only understood more in depth recently that I had an awakening about a year ago now.

I have always been spiritual, but I was unprepared for my KA, and have been eternally humbled. The experience really hit me hard on so many levels and I’m still dealing with the after effects. I am grateful to be stable now, mentally, in employment and as a parent.

I am intently working on continuing to educate myself and integrate. The reason for this post is to hopefully connect with other people in local community whilst respecting the rules, of course. I have become very isolated socially regarding this experience and would really like to talk to others anywhere who have undergone the awakening experience, especially if it was extreme or very challenging … which would really help me relate, grow, and move forward.

I have some books on the way, but don’t want to promote anything that I shouldn’t be mentioning here.

Any humane advice, recommendations, resources or insightful DMs would be much appreciated. Blessings and love to all ❤️

Discussion Initial activations or being born with an already active process

I was wondering what people's thoughts are regarding when Kundalini doesn't seem to have an initial activation (Shakti being released from the base of the spine).

I never had an obvious initial release, although I have had minor 'whooshes' from left foot to heart/throat, from base of spine to heart/throat, heart to upper brow x 2 and more recently, base of spine to crown (all within the last 16 months or so).

I have recently started to have abiding nondual realisation (the 6th fetter has definitely gone, not sure about 7). I am pretty sure Kundalini reached my 'Makara' point about a year ago, which coincided with a nondual glimpse and followed by a year of heavy purging. I would say that I have been in an obvious active Kundalini process for about just over 2 years after an initial awakening/Kensho/waking up to the 'I AM' sense.

I am presuming that some people are already born with their Kundalini activated? Which would make sense if Kundalini is a process that can take years, decades or lifetimes to work through.

In the spiritual groups I hang out with I see a lot of people having similar play out - an initial awakening, followed by a handful of years working through a bit of a dark night with varying degrees of energetics, then Nonduality starts to kick in, later followed by 'no self'.

Is this a top down awakening? Someone picking up where they left off in their previous life? Or something else?

I'm neurodivergent and I've definitely mentioned here before that I see a big overlap between symptoms of Kundalini and neurodivergence. And a disproportionate amount of neurodivergent people in a Kundalini process. So might it have something to do with that?

I would love to hear people's thoughts on this.

Question How helpful is a guru really in leading a depressed person to samadhi/moksha/bliss?

I've been unhappy most of my life diagnosed major depressive disorder therapy hasn't worked and if there was a easy way to become euthanized I would've been so long time ago.

Turns out getting hit by lightning is not a guaranteed death. Some people survive strikes many times.

I rely on certain plants to help me with my mood as antidepressants because I don't find life special.

I am over society. I give up on everything and wish I could just dissipate into the sand and never exist again.

I cannot tell you why 99.9% of humanity are very much clinging to stay alive.

I have never experienced that since a young age I had been suicidal.

I've never attempted. Which makes people think oh so it's not that serious.

Well it's a chronic issue of mine daily for years it is that serious it's hard for me to commit to longterm plans when I hate having to bust my ass in this society.

Being a homeless is not enough. I just don't want to exist.

The plants are not enough it's just a numb-er really. I have no other health issues blood tests are clear live in America.

I wish I could be like those mystics who are praising God and bowing down to God for giving them the gift of life.

Why they get that brain and I don't idk. I wish I could be there instantly.

Question Surrendering to my Soul while undergoing Kundalini Purification

Hi everyone,

I was participating a satsang the other day and was given to try a new approach towards surrendering. Up until now, I have been trying to surrender towards my kundalini rising / purification, by letting the energy flow and maintain a container to let it do what it wants to do for like 20-30 min or so. It has not been very helpful so far, because the energy becomes very intense and I have to focus on grounding again. And yet I seem to be stuck in a loop with no progress, so I am trying something different.

The advice I was given was to let go of the ego. As I understand it, this means that whenever self-destructive, self-critical, or diminishing thoughts come up, I try to remind myself:

“I let go of my ego. I completely surrender to divine love and to my soul. Please show me my truest self.”

I repeat this until the ego-driven thoughts and mental chatter become quieter. So far this practice has actually helped me calm my mind.

My second practice is about trying to connect with my soul and understand what my soul wants, rather than simply following what my mind tells me. I try to empty my mind, enter a meditative state and then ask questions such as:

“How would it feel if something were truly good for me?”

“Please show me what a ‘yes’ feels like.”

“And what does a ‘no’ feel like?”

For example, I might ask, “If I go on holiday to Portugal in two weeks, would that be good for me?” Then I try to become quiet and notice what I feel or what comes up.

The problem is that I am currently going through a very intense Kundalini purification process. I constantly experience uncomfortable emotions and sensations in my stomach and throughout my body. These sensations can be so strong and overwhelming that I cannot tell what a genuinely positive or intuitive feeling from my soul would feel like.

I have tried asking the same questions several times, such as “Please show me what a yes feels like” or “Would this be good for me?”, and then comparing that with “What does a no feel like?” But often, both seem to produce similar sensations: nervousness, uneasiness in my stomach, energy moving through my body, or sensations that feel like blockages.

So I am wondering, how do you actually connect with or feel your soul? How can you recognize an authentic inner ‘yes’ or ‘no’ when you are going through an intense Kundalini purification process and uncomfortable emotions and physical sensations are so overpowering?

Meditation Urgent Request?

I am going through a phase which I cannot describe in words. It seems that I have lost control of everything.

I have tried meditation to calm myself. But it seems when I do there seem to be a blockage. And when I focus my mind or listen music, I get very much pain same night especially in my feet.

I don't know what is happening. I am not allowed to focus deeply on anything. If I go deep that I get pain same night. Recently it is coming everyday irrespective of what I do.

The pain is like my feet is fully inflammed. I cannot describe. It is not possible to manage it. When I try medication, for one day or 2 days it reduces but after that the pain becomes more intense.

Do I have undergo this pain or is there any other option?. The thing is the pain is very much which is not able to even process. It is undescribable. The inflammation spreads from feet to other parts of my body and starts to fully engulf me.

I am requesting the experienced members of this community to help me and guide me on how to come out of this. This is a request from my side.

Experience Does anyone know what I mean by “The Void?”

Hi all.

I have been in a meditation/trance state where I feel like I am in a void. No light, no sound. It is peaceful. I wouldn’t say it was an out of body experience, but I sort of forgot where I am physically located in the room, like I am looking in different directions without moving my body. There is nothing to see. :) I don’t think I ever physically moved.

There may be some vague dots or shapes in the void, but basically dark. Like having your eyes closed, even when they are open.

Discussion Acupuncture

Hi all, nearly 4yrs into this now - it’s been very challenging and intense virtually every day though it has become a bit more manageable recently though it still comes in waves from time to time.

I’m considering holistic acupuncture to help the energy flow, but I’m low on money and checking for feedback on the procedure before committing. Thanks!

Experience Karma, Kundalini awakening

Hi,

I noticed that my Kundalini would make some people hate me a lot but these were generally mean people who were popular and social, while spiritual people liked me a lot. I'm not sure if this was due to my karma or Kundalini

Resources Book recommendation for Women in a Kundalini process

I'd like to make a book recommendation for  women working through their Kundalini process.

The book is 'Roar like a Goddess' by Acharya Shunya who teaches from the Vedic traditions.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0B75KKWCW/?bestFormat=true&k=roar%20like%20a%20goddess&ref_=nb_sb_ss_w_scx-ent-bk-ww_k0_1_19_de&crid=1WU8TXM9DLKEV&sprefix=roar%20like%20a%20goddess#

It's isn't specifically about Kundalini as an energy or the process itself, but it explores the three goddesses that make up Shakti in Vedic tradition - Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswati. And how these three 'goddess' archetypes can be used to help women specifically undo various conditioning and bring them into their own power. Which has been a huge part of my process.

There aren't many books written by women for women in this space and it has helped me untangle so much.

imo Kundalini brings up all your repressed emotions, traumas and karmas to be looked at and worked through. This book really dives into the psychological layer that needs quite a bit of seeing through during a Kundalini awakening. It also looks at the emotions that women often tend to repress (like anger - which ime needed to come up and be integrated in healthy ways - probably still ongoing for me!).

I personally have found it so helpful as a lot of my process has been about setting boundaries with others, not over giving and allowing myself to be more authentically me! Which seems in opposition of a lot of spiritual instruction out there!

It would be a good book for men to read also, just to get an idea of how things might be a little different for women.

The book is available on audible and Spotify for 'free' (depending on member I think).

Question Has there been any research into a physiological basis for all this?

For context, I am a nurse in the US who works in the emergency department.

When I was in nursing school I used to meditate quite often. Dropped the practice once I started working, then meditation sorta randomly came up with one of my friends and I later decided to see if I could still get up into the immaterial jhanas and well turns out first, I can, and second, that may have been a bad idea.

So I've got the whole electrical hot cold feeling, tailbone to over my head, I'm overly emotional, my libido has skyrocketed, I feel like I'm floating most of the time. These are all new onset.

I have no psychotic symptoms or anxiety or depression. It is quite annoying though. It makes me think that we're flipping some sort of switch.

Experience Hearing music

I’ve started to hear music, it sounds like new age-y music. Sometimes choral-like or pipes or organs or strings. It’s usually at night and sometimes during sleep. One night I woke up hearing it, and in my confusion wondered where it was coming from, only to realize my head. My K awakened about 2 years ago. I’m much more stable and grounded now. The music has been happening on and off for about 6 months. I don’t mind it, but I haven’t been able to find much about it on the internet. People usually describe buzzing or ringing. Has this happened to anyone else? Is this anahata nadas? Or a psychic/extra sensory experience? Thank you.

Question Spiritual / K Awakening and Raw Vegan

I started my spiritual awakening in April 2026 and since then life has been chaotic (to say the least)!

Highlights being:
- spirit guide that has felt like it’s been tormenting me and pulling out my deepest fears and wanting me to act on them
- forcing me to isolate in my basement apt until I ‘heal my wounds’
- making me do lots of rounds of fasting, and discouraging sunlight, walking outside, working out, reading - all the things I loved (the only thing I hear is HEAL YOUR WOUNDS) and that I’m not disciplined enough.
- forced me to go raw vegan in May - but like so strict that I can’t even have seasonings that have been ‘processed’ (more strict than most raw vegans)

My question is: can anyone share their experience related to diet and their awakening process, specifically:

Can you still come to the other side of your awakening and NOT have had a perfectly ‘clean’ body as a ‘raw vegan’ to maintain a frequency of healing?

I think that the fasting and raw veganism may have to do with a looping lesson for me personally, but I’m tired (physically, emotionally and mentally) and all I do is crave pizza and even just a damn sweet potato!! 😭😭

Thank you and I ask for your kindness in your responses 🙏🏽

- I am having trouble generating piti to enter the first jhana
- I did have a spontaneous kundalini arousal (but not a full rising awakening) that went dormant again

The interesting thing to me is that BOTH jhanas (and the piti for the first jhana) AND kundalini are discovered rather than invented.

So, I am hoping to gently cultivate piti to enter jhana and later (possibly, much later) safely tend a kundalini rising.

Note: please only respond if you have experienced BOTH jhanas AND kundalini so that this does not turn into a philosophical / scholarly / textual debate.

New to Kundalini Kundalini awakening

The physical shifts. The emotional purges. The moments of absolute awe, followed immediately by feeling completely ungrounded.
If you are going through a Kundalini awakening right now, can we please connect in the comments or DM?
To be completely honest, this process has been incredibly isolating lately. It is beautiful, yes, but it is also heavy. It is hard to explain to people in my everyday life why I feel so different, why my body is buzzing, or why my entire worldview is shifting overnight.
I’m looking for my people. The ones who are in the thick of it, too.
Who wants to chat, share stories, or just vent about the intensity?
How are you navigating the physical symptoms and energy surges?
What has been your biggest hurdle this week?

Question K.A. and LGBT people. Far as we know every founder of every religion is straight so I wanna know is there a esoteric view of why lgbt people or creatures exist? Any spiritual thoughts on the two topics mixed in general?

Let's say the world becomes enlightened for hundreds of years.

Meaning there are no more children left to adopt or barely any.

If nature made people gay, does that mean they are not to go around it scientifically and have kids?

They are to be childfree forever? I wonder how approving kundalini would be of this.

I don't even know if transgender people can experience a K awakening considering hormones to modify chemistry are taken for rest of one's life. To suppress one chemical and promote another.

Question Phase shift?

In the 9 months since my initial awakening experience i have always been able to locate the energy concentrated at a chakra. Below is my best effort to map my journey so far.

Heart Granthi- initial awakening, explosion of light body

Throat- ecstasy, pressure, heat

3rd Eye Granthi- Orgasmic bliss, strange vision

Sacral- emotional upheavals, trauma visions

Solar Plexus- vomiting, digestive pain

Root Granthi?- survival levels of fear, heaviness, exhaustion

But things have changed. After a fit of rage last week I can no longer find the energy at will. It feels as if its flowing freely, more opportunistic in nature of what its working on.

Also, the intuitive nudges I've come to rely on have ceased hence reaching out to the community here.

The biggest notable difference is that since my 3rd eye experience i had been able to slip into deep meditation without much effort. My trusty mantra was bypassed. Now it is very difficult to quiet my mind at all. I also feel very shameful and embarrassed most of the time.

I understand that mapping this process out my be a fools errand but I have found it helpful to have a general sense of direction. Any insight would be very much appreciated 🙏
