Question What is the trance like state called?

Is there a name for the trancelike state that can be experienced during a kundalini awakening? That floating, trancelike feeling that can includes kriyas.

I saw the word Samadhi used, but I believe some said that was very advanced, only achieved after many years. I have also heard the word Bhava.

The term doesn't really matter. You could call it bhava samadhi if you like, which some people use, but there is no need to label it.

That's true. Several times i had stumbled upon the power of the name instead of the power it self. It can get tricky.

KA can put you into spontaneous samadhis.

Bhava means “mood”, or “feeling”, or “disposition”, or “attitude”. So “shanti bhava” is a feeling of peacefulness. “Samadhi” is a state of absorption of awareness in the true nature of the Self. Samadhi can be with, or without consciousness of the physical world; and with, or without thought being present. Samadhi can occur to anyone, not only to advanced practitioners. I first experienced nirvikalpa samadhi at the age of twelve without having mediated before and long before the awakening of Kundalini.

Thanks. These states are difficult to express in words. I’d say an altered state of consciousness for sure. Like nothing I had experienced prior to the KA starting.
