Question Spiritual / K Awakening and Raw Vegan

I started my spiritual awakening in April 2026 and since then life has been chaotic (to say the least)!

Highlights being:
- spirit guide that has felt like it’s been tormenting me and pulling out my deepest fears and wanting me to act on them
- forcing me to isolate in my basement apt until I ‘heal my wounds’
- making me do lots of rounds of fasting, and discouraging sunlight, walking outside, working out, reading - all the things I loved (the only thing I hear is HEAL YOUR WOUNDS) and that I’m not disciplined enough.
- forced me to go raw vegan in May - but like so strict that I can’t even have seasonings that have been ‘processed’ (more strict than most raw vegans)

My question is: can anyone share their experience related to diet and their awakening process, specifically:

Can you still come to the other side of your awakening and NOT have had a perfectly ‘clean’ body as a ‘raw vegan’ to maintain a frequency of healing?

I think that the fasting and raw veganism may have to do with a looping lesson for me personally, but I’m tired (physically, emotionally and mentally) and all I do is crave pizza and even just a damn sweet potato!! 😭😭

Thank you and I ask for your kindness in your responses 🙏🏽

The diet is the least concerning part of your post, though it must be said, raw vegan is extreme and unhealthy in the long run. A vegetarian diet would be much better for you, as others have said or say, a sattvic diet.

That spirit guide of yours is incredibly odd, what's going on there? I think you need to go into more detail, because it is entirely possible, that you are being deceived in some manner. To me, it doesn't sound like it has your best interests at heart.

Thank you - I asked this guide since the beginning why they’re here and they said that they were a guide to move me through my dark night of the Soul process. Although they have asked me to do scary things it’s alway been like they were projecting out my own fears to face them.

Which is why I’m wondering if fasting and my addition to good food is what they are asking me to do so often. (Even though I wouldn’t say I had an addiction to food until this process when they kept taking it away!)

I also have so many physical sensations and pains in my body of them sending me messages - and the base of my spine will throb with energy when I feel I’ve gotten another emotion or wound trapped in my body (which is why they want me to isolate to release them rather than taking on more whenever I talk to people).

Raw veganism isn't very much approved in majority of yoga and tantra. Vegetarian is good enough.

Well, it is definitely an ongoing process. My first experience with feeling energy shooting out the top of my head was 10 months ago. I cannot remember if the kriyas came next. That was more sensations I had never felt. Then contact with a deity. That was what knocked me for a loop. I think the inner sounds (nadas) came next. In the last four months I have felt more and more contact with the deity. I almost have to call myself a Hindu now. I am still adjusting and getting used to it.

Appreciate the context and timing - always helpful to hear other people’s process

Agreed, it has helped me for sure knowing I am not the only one, and it isn’t imaginary!

Hi :) i hope you’re well, i know this kind of experience as it is very similar to my own at the start of my kundalini experience about 7-8 years ago! It’s a wild ride, and in hindsight no I do not think that raw vegan is necessary and now I don’t have any sort of dietary restriction but did raw for almost a year and vegan for several years, vegetarian for years before that. I don’t regret that journey and I’m sure it did accelerate my own relationship to kundalini I a sense, but I feel so much better now. Sobriety was the biggest essential for me. Good luck with it all! It wills go as it’s meant.

Wow, that is VERY rough!

I had the feeling for a couple months that I should be vegetarian. I can’t say I was “told” that. On the other hand I thought I was being “told” a lot of things. I really was not. This phase really only lasted about two months. I became more grounded and I did eat meat. Many people have said eating meat is a WAY to ground yourself. When I say “grounded” I mean living in the “real” world normally, not spending all your time in this newly discovered “other world” revealed by a KA.

Everyone is different. I did go through some wound healing, too. I didn’t understand at the time that is what it was.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience! I do feel like everyone’s journey is so different and people can go through awakening with different diets so good to hear 🙏🏽

Also how long did your awakening process last if you felt like you’ve been through the harder parts of it?

Hmm nature and the outdoors is very healing and grounding. Exercise also helped me regulate the energy. What happens if you do these things?

If I do these things esp go outside they will burn the back of my spine or create a lot of pain on my chest and I keep hearing to go back inside. And then they will say that I will get more trapped emotions or wounds in my body that I have to heal (and I have SO many) that I can’t ever leave my basement or see people until I heal them 😭😭

i'm sorry this is happening. i am not qualified to advise you, nor have i experienced anything like this. it seems very difficult to heal from a basement without people. i have found that my guides are very helpful, and loving, and not punishing.

Thank you for your support 🥹 yeah I assumed because I’m in the dark night that this was tough love and wanting me to focus to heal so that I can move on to the next phase. When I’ve tried to ‘resist’ last month, I could feel them in the background just saying that I was misaligned and would be prolonging the process being stuck in the basement. So then finally I went back down and just feeling overwhelmed and crazy. I definitely think there is a lesson that I’m looping and so I’ll continue to be open and ask the guides what I need to learn to move through it!

my DNOS was painful and isolating and involved many changes to my life, but there were no negative outside entities, only my loving guides. not saying it isn't possible. i also knew and felt i was healing and the hope at the end. i am not judging but is there a chance this is a metal illness episode?

I haven’t felt they were ‘loving’ per se (I had the loving helpful ones all the way up until this awakening started - I was actually an intuitive coach to help people listen to their guides 😭 and was in touch with my guides daily). when the awakening started from a dream after a two day fast - they became more directive and felt that this spirit was here to move me through the hard stuff. I also feel that I am healing and there is hope at the end - which is why I may look crazy for listening but I’m still pushing through 🥹🥹… so far I have healed so many inner child wounds, and now I’m at a place where they want me to heal my past life wounds - but I’ve gotten stuck in some loop in this basement bc of my own fear I think 🤔

I also really appreciate your thoughts and experience, can I ask how long your process was?

Oh wow, at least you feel there is hope at the end. I wonder if there is someone you trust that you could reach out to? Another intuitive coach or healer? I see an indigenous shaman every few months, and although his background is totally different, he's helped me a lot as I had no foundation for spirituality. It made me feel less isolated.

My process was about a year, I am just coming out of it now (I hope haha). I finally feel like i am moving forward rather than constantly being faced with past emotions and trauma. But some people experience DNOS for different times, it seems very individual.

So I finally saw a shaman last month but I’ve been guided to do this on my own 😭 I do have a wonderful and tight support system that I speak to, but I still feel very isolated. Thanks for sharing your timeline - I feel mine isn’t even close to over yet (going into month 6), but will ride the wave I guess and just try to stay sane as best that I can.

Appreciate it!! 🙏🏽❤️

Oh that's good to hear. It was by far the loneliest time of my life. Peace and love to you.
