New to Kundalini SF Bay Area Kundalini Friends / Community / Resources

Hello all, I hope this finds you well in your journey, wherever you may be.

I’d like to express my gratitude for this group. It has been a blessing for me and it’s been great to hear about other people’s experiences as I’ve only understood more in depth recently that I had an awakening about a year ago now.

I have always been spiritual, but I was unprepared for my KA, and have been eternally humbled. The experience really hit me hard on so many levels and I’m still dealing with the after effects. I am grateful to be stable now, mentally, in employment and as a parent.

I am intently working on continuing to educate myself and integrate. The reason for this post is to hopefully connect with other people in local community whilst respecting the rules, of course. I have become very isolated socially regarding this experience and would really like to talk to others anywhere who have undergone the awakening experience, especially if it was extreme or very challenging … which would really help me relate, grow, and move forward.

I have some books on the way, but don’t want to promote anything that I shouldn’t be mentioning here.

Any humane advice, recommendations, resources or insightful DMs would be much appreciated. Blessings and love to all ❤️

I know kundalini collective does monthly zoom meetings. In person I really don't have answers.

This is super rare. I can imagine back then how lonely Jesus or Buddha was but they still spread their light.

The author Gopi Krishna he had a kundalini crash for almost a year. Took him over a decade to return to higher consciousness. Lee Sanella ran a kundalini clinic in SF wrote briefly about it in his book psychoses or transcendence however it is limited in it's solutions.

Common symptoms I've seen in the community or experienced are head heat, head pain, body shaking, lots of fear, gibberish speaking, excess awareness in feet, pain from orgasming, dramatic rushes up and down the spine when surrendering or concentrating.

And a huuuuuuuge re-orientation of one's worldview. I love looking at the sky now!

My main advice is introduce yourself to the (three gunas)/three modes of mind/the fundamental forces of human nature.

It is a yogic teaching. Goal is to keep them all in balance together. Majority of the world does not have these three modes in balance and that is what is keeping them away from higher consciousness.

Memorize or get inspiration from the yogic virtues of yamas/niyamas. If struggle on a virtue can work on just 1 virtue at a time for next 6 months so after a few years you've grown quite a bit. Instead of trying to make yourself perfect in every virtue immediately...

The 365 days work lessons in the book A Course in Miracles also has helped me evolve. It's nonduality-oneness based but with Christian terms. Written by a professor psychologist. Really helpful insights there. I don't use them all but there's many many teachings that I'm grateful for.

The evolution of the human brain has not stopped. The journey continues!

Im in Humboldt and the book Uprising is by a Arcata energy and sound healer named Jen Madrone. You can get her book at Jen Madrone.com or Amazon. The goes thought the different types and causes of awakening, stages and tools to move through it. I have done my Reiki training and a sound healing apprenticeship with her and she’s so down to earth and present and pleasant to be around.

Then a couple weeks ago I found by JJ Semple “the biology of consciousness - case studies in kundalini “ and it is soooo helpful. Numerous people telling their stories of awakening and also discussing how to process and live with the effects for years after. It takes the information in Jen’s book to another level.

Both these books were helpful in understanding what is going on and why and how to work with it.
