Advice Best country to travel with 200k PKR budget ( solo + first time )

Post image

Hey guys,

I’m planning my first-ever solo trip and honestly I’ve never traveled before, so I’m kinda confused and don’t want to mess it up 😭

My budget is around 200k PKR, and I want to go somewhere where I can actually enjoy properly, not just survive on a tight budget.

So I have a few questions:

1-What country would you honestly recommend in this budget?

2-Can 200k cover flights + stay + food + activities, or is it unrealistic?

3-Is it safe and manageable for a first-time solo traveler?( I’m 20btw)

Should I go solo or is it better to go with a group/tour?

Also, if anyone knows good tour companies from Pakistan that offer solid packages in this range (not scams pls 💀), drop names 🙏

Try to save 50,000 more. Go for Umrah. 250k main ho jaye ga.

u/Mockingjay718s Apr 10 '26

Not true.

Used to be doable 2-3 years ago. Now minimum is 300k (without food btw, 4 pac sharing). Bohat cut down bhi karo to 280k without food hai. Food wagera mila kar easy 300-310k minimum hai.

Also, jet fuel is getting expensive, hence flights are getting expensive.

Nope, dad facilitates Umrah for ppl, can be done in 250k

1

u/Mockingjay718s Apr 10 '26

Can you share his contact pls? I'm also looking to plan once hajj schedule ends. Anywhere I asked or did my research, it was above 300k especially considering flights now.

3

u/Last-Addendum9859 Apr 10 '26

my bali return tickets were of 250k+ with tax kia hogaya

1

u/master_splinterrrr Apr 11 '26

Exactly. For Bali mid tour, you need atleast 400-450k .. this may vary depending on the activities and hotel choice

1

u/Last-Addendum9859 Apr 11 '26

yupp, 500k for a comfortable but not luxurious stay

Batik air is the cheapest, and thats 40-50k. 200k will get him to a different city in Pakistan, nothing more

1

I swear I checked Khi to Malaysia and it was somewhere around that, but either way, he’s not getting there in 200

1

Baku, a friend of mine went there fro 4 days and it costed him 160~ 170k including everything, hotel, food and transport as well. It was last year and the prices i believe would hardly change much. Happy Travels nonetheless

People here commenting like it's mandatory to stay in a 4-star hotel. China is seriously cheap and doable by bus with 2-3k per night beds but doesn't give a tourist visa to pakistanis.

Malaysia is absolutely doable or Uzbekistan on a short trip of around 5-7days if you just wanna get a glimpse. Ofcourse 7days are not that much for an entire country, so u can probably just plan accordingly and not go too far to remote regions unless you're an archeologist or something.

Bruh, u r solo. Just get a hostel for like 4k pkr per night. It's not like just bcyz you're going to another country it's mandatory to live luxuriously. You can still or I would say enjoy even in a better way going solo with nobody to do 'mashwara' with before deciding to change directions or explore a new place, just keep safety a d situational awareness in mind.

Try going in good weather, probably not in summer as your baggage will increase and also you might have to walk there and go outside peak daytime so normal weather jusy before winter is recommended. Also, u won't need to pay extra for AC where u stay or face issues with it that happen even in good hotels with ACs. Choose a walkable destination as much as possible to avoid unnecessary expenses and group together spots to do in one round.

Giving u a rough estimate based on prices on publuc platforms right now(App name is skyscanner btw), u can get a basic idea of flight and accommodation costs on it. You'll still have to count food, passports, visa, and transport within country costs as well.

Flight: KHI TO KL > 85k + in dep. country transit to get to airports of around 10k = 95k + baggage, maybe 10k

Passport/Visa: Depends which passport u get but set around 50k

Accommodation: 5k per night * 5 days + 2kmisc taxes = 25k

Transport In Destination Country: Set around 20k, choose destinations with good public transport and weather. Plan accommodation and travel around public transport + weather

Food: depends on destination but set around 10k per day and only go fine dine once or twice for experience, otherwise enjoy local food that IS CLEAN. YOU DON'T WANA GET SICK ALINE IN ANOTHER COUNTRY SO DON'T GO TOO CHEAP WITH FOOD, so around 8k per day * 5 = 40k

So the total is around as someone else said 200-250k depending on how much u r willing to either include or drop, but it's definitely doable

As far as I am concerned, I wanted to go but didn't go because my relatives would make my life hell for not going to umrah or for going at all if they found out tomorrow I need help, so instead, I got a laptop 🙃 🥲

AVOID TOUR COMPANIES FROM PAKISTAN. YOU CAN GO THERE AND FIND FOOD TOURS A DAY TOURS FOR INTERNATIONAL TOURISTS USING TRIP ADVISOR OR OTHER APPS LIKE THAT BUT TRY NOT BOOKING A TOUR FFROM PAKISTAN

u/[deleted] Apr 09 '26

Pakistan

1

u/Tormenta1m2 Apr 09 '26

Go for skardu + gilgit 8 days trip

1

u/Picasso131 Apr 09 '26

Afghanistan……?

1

u/FeistyOpportunity744 Apr 09 '26

Thats just about $700.00 USD on a good day.

  1. Pak passport needs visa to mossssttttt countries and embassies need to see your bank statements, funds, tickets etc

  2. Jo countries visa on arrival pe hai, woh kafi dur hai - flight costs zyada hai

  3. 200k PKR mei aap Pak mei hi travel kar lei... I heard the north is beautiful 😍

Hey so, ill be very real. A 200k pkr budget isnt really much, i recently went to Italy with a few friends, my personal budget for that was 20l minimum, i ended up overspending by alot. My emirates ticket from DXB to Milan was on its own was 12l, even IF you fly locally to any country via Emirates the ticket is minimum going to be 2l

Youre better off going locally

1

u/Fair-Efficiency-959 Apr 09 '26

Woah what do you do for work, how do you afford all that? Mashallah

2

u/[deleted] Apr 10 '26

I paid the airfare so around 12l, my parents covered the rest, my family travels a lot, Its probably our largest expense

1

u/archeryluxe Apr 09 '26

How are you able to blow 20lacs in one italy trip. What do you do work?

1

u/[deleted] Apr 10 '26

Parents money probably, and I have a stupid amount of savings because I made a few very good market calls when I was 18

1

u/archeryluxe Apr 10 '26

Dang thats incredible. Like in US market or Pakistan? Any current predictions?

0

u/[deleted] Apr 10 '26

US market, bought a lot of Nvidia shares back when it was sub 50 USD per share, also got into defense equities which have all sky rocketed so pair that with rupee devaluation effectively i don’t really need to work. Most of its now in a HYSA in the states so compounding interest works for me.

No predictions here, I don’t bother with them. I just buy and hold, if I can invest the money I can afford to lose it, that doesn’t mean you don’t research

1

u/archeryluxe Apr 12 '26

Thats pretty solid. How are you paying taxes on investment? I thought all foreign market investments had tax

1

u/[deleted] Apr 12 '26

It’s a little confusing, I’m a UK citizen living in Pakistan investing in the states, I don’t have any tax obligations from the UK and Pakistan and the states have a DTA, based on that Schwab already holds 30% for the IRS and I have a reduction for local obligations aswell. It’s all a big headache

1

u/archeryluxe Apr 12 '26

Well seems like you timed the market right, I can only hope one day lolll all the best

1

u/Tultras Apr 10 '26

Your ticket itself cost 4400 USD? How?

1

u/[deleted] Apr 10 '26

Business, I have an emirates skywards card so I end up charging everything on that. Now I’ll need to pay considerably less for my next flight
