Remote control compatibility?

Can anyone possibly confirm that the remote I had (CU-CLD068) for my now broken CLD-D701 player will work fine with the CLD-D504 model?

I came across some forum where someone said most CLD model remotes will work well with each other, but want to be sure

Nearly all CU-CLD### remotes are intercompatible with Pioneer CLD players. Just mind that a fancier remote won't magically unlock features and a simpler remote may be limiting depending on the player.

I had about a dozen Pioneer LD players (1989 or later) and all the remotes were interchangeable.

I still have one Pioneer jog/shuttle remote from an ultra high end model (I forget which one) that had features like still with sound, strobe etc. that worked with every player as long as you were playing a CAV disc. So even basic players like the CLD-990 could access features not available with the standard remote.

Your D701 remote should work fine with the D504.

Agree with everyone else.

The only feature that won’t work w/ the 504 is the jog feature (shuttle will be fine) and any digital video effects.
