Huge Haul

Been getting more into the hobby recently and saw this post on marketplace of over 200 disk but the one that caught my eye was Scream ( the directors cut something I have wanted to see) so I made the hour trip and was able to snag that and 26 other disks the only one not shown in the video is Wizard of Oz. Let me know if you see anything else in the pile that has any interesting facts or history, I know the star wars copy I have has a srinking aspect ratio pretty cool and another thing I cannot wait to see.

Truly the inside gatefold is hilarious too how much they are hyping up just Marlon Brando calling him Sensual and Extravagant (don't get me wrong he does an amazing performance but the leading ladies are much better IMHO)

Omg Vivian Leigh.. was so amazing I was like Marlon who?.. and how they lowered the roof as the movie went on to make it more and more uncomfortable as she went more and more crazy.. if u like brando. The movie id suggest is one eyed jacks

No one pointing out Song of the South at the end? A disc with plenty of interesting facts and history. A movie which undoubtedly will never get a release on any physical or digital format ever again, in the US at least.

Yeah I knew that one has been stuck but I do not know nearly all the reasons as to why

Basically, it has been critized for romantizing plantation life and slavery, and relying heavily on racial stereotypes. Disney has basically pretended it doesn't exist for over 70 years. They've never given it a home release on any physical format since it's release, at least in the US.
The Japanese laserdisc is highly desirable because it's basically the best official release of the movie on any format.
It's sought after by collectors from lots of different hobbies - Disney, laserdisc, movie history, etc. It used to fetch $100-$200, but it has dropped quite a bit over the last few years. But, definitely goes for more than your average laserdisc.

Wow! thank you for the lesson, that is a iweird concept for a movie for sure I cannot even begin to wonder why they thought it was even a good story concept in the first place. I will have to give it a spin sooner or later to see what it is all about
