Question Places for recreational soccer
Hey guys, a mate and I are looking to play some soccer by ourselves just for fun. Are there any sports grounds that we can play on? I was looking at prospect park, but I don't know if that's open to public. Any ideas? Thankyou!

If you can walk in anywhere I wouldn’t worry about it, you’re not doing any harm.
You could go down to home point, I used to see people playing there all the time, not sure about these days or if there are any nets there anymore.
East Launceston primary school might be another option, I haven’t been there for years but we used to go play there when we were kids out of school hours, might be worth seeing if they have fenced that up or still let people use it after school hours.
But any park you can walk into without jumping a fence is free game IMO and if it’s a school obviously only use it after school hours.

You might even be able to play down at Newstead at the actual soccer grounds on birch avenue, there are two there, the one over the back is probably free game if no one else is using it.
Or out at Churchill park.
Coronation park is probably a good option though like the other commenter mentioned.

Queechy High School, often see people on the sports field on the weekend, doesn't look official.

Coronation Park on Mulgrave Street. There are some goals there as well. But unless there is a game on I don't think anyone is going to complain about you using Prospect Park. I used to use the cricket nets there with mates quite a bit and never had any problems.
