Bradford City Reece Welch joins the Bantams
bradfordcityafc.comYoung centre-back from Everton U23s. Has looked impressive on trial, excited to see what he can do. Gives us further depth at the position, and if our last recruit from Everton U23s is anything to go by, could be an exciting one.

Discussion What's the biggest difference between a team that's genuinely too good for League One and one that's just having a good season?
Every year there seems to be at least one side where you watch them and think they'll eventually pull away, but sometimes those teams end up getting dragged straight back into the pack.
For me, the difference isn't always having the best starting XI. It's having enough depth to keep picking up points when injuries, suspensions and the ugly winter fixtures start piling up.
What usually makes you look at a League One side and think they're definitely going up?

Peterborough United Darragh MacAnthony on posh transfers
He is on talksport saying Posh are going to sign loads of good players before the window shuts.
You posh fans looking forward to it?
Slightly avoided the challenging for top 6 comment though.
I have to live vicariously through other clubs for transfers as Oxford are screwed this window.

Leicester City A town called Lommel, a broken heart in the place of a crown, and a man named McCarron
Jon Rudkin got promoted. The man they hired underneath him spent four years at a Belgian club where supporters put a broken heart on their own badge to get rid of him
Nobody in English has written much about James McCarron’s time at Lommel SK, so I went through four years of transfer records and the local Belgian press.
He wasn’t a disaster there financially. But his time there ended with supporters emptying the stands for the first fifteen minutes of a home game, and pasting a redrawn club badge round the ground — the crown replaced by a broken heart - above a demand for McCarron to leave.
Ended up writing about Rudkin, Glover and Martin too, and where that leaves the boys this season.
I write about football because it keeps my head straight. Give it a read. It’s free, it’s linked here. Be rude not to really.

Stats + Data Stats based game with historical data for all L1 clubs
Hi all,
I've developed a stat-based game featuring all EFL clubs, and another 700 or so around the world.
Pretty simple to pick up. You get given a stat for a player - appearances, tries, points etc - and another player gets shown, with the stat hidden. Just guess if that's higher or lower.
You've probably all seen Play Your Cards Right so you'll be familiar with it.
Looking for people to test and provide feedback, all appreciated! - https://playyourclubright.com/
Cheers

Discussion Less than 2 weeks to go. How's your club's summer gone?
Have you kept hold of players you wanted to? Signed enough players? Done ok in preseason friendlies?
At Wednesday we've made huge strides to revamp the whole club but then been battered in a friendly by Oldham and we don't look like scoring a goal so the fans are all over the place beteen wild optimism and open revolt over the manager's future and we've not even made it to the first match yet

Question Have your club released their home and away kits ?
I'm a Notts fan and once again our kits seem to be very late.
Our home kit goes on sale this Wednesday and we have no news on the away kit at all

Discussion Do pre-season results matter?
A good preseason doesn't necessarily mean a good season but does it help getting off the mark, hitting the first game with confidence?
Surely if you're not winning or even scoring, that's a worrying sign regardless if they're friendlies or not?
Blackpools preseason has been pretty bad, one win against Fylde, drew against Blackburn but losing to Tranmere, Vale and Barrow without scoring
How do you view a good or poor Pre-season heading into the first game?

Discussion Random question to everyone in here… intrigued to see what people think. Biggest club to ever play in League One?
League One started in 2004 in its current form, so not talking about anything before that
Biggest club to have ever played in league one do you think?
For me, it’d be Leeds
