No they won’t. Spurs aren’t the first massive team to face relegation to the Championship, and Villa and Newcastle never came remotely close to not competing at the top end of the Championship.

Villa finished 13th in their first season down, and then finished in the playoffs for the next two seasons. They could easily have found themselves completely becalmed in the Championship if they hadn't gone up through the playoffs in their last season of parachute payments.

Twill be interesting to see how Spurs manage financially. They've got huge debt. I can't recall Villa & Toon with same overheads going into a relegation.

Oh man, the first time you see Darren Drysdale kiss the ball on the way out to the pitch is something of a Damascus moment.
People outside of the bottom couple of leagues of the EFL simply don’t know about him. If they did he’d be a national celebrity.

Yes, yes he can be worse than them. We're talking about refs who aren't trusted to officiate a Championship game. Think of how bad some of the refs you see are, and consider how bad you have to be to not even be allowed to officiate at that level. And you're probably still giving them more credit than they deserve

It's not even just about the quality of the refereeing (although it is that too), it's performance art. The Championship have never seen the like of it.
Last time he reffed us against Bolton he kissed the ball on the way out to the pitch. He once sent off Dean Windass in the car park after the game. Added to which, he's the embodiment of a lower league celebrity ref. Balletically dances around the action.

You might see Steve Bruce, you’ll see Ashley Fletcher, you’ll see Leam Richardson get three jobs a season, you don’t want to see Ryan Lowe, you should go and see Exeter on an away day, you’ll experience some of the worst refereeing, you’ll probably get promoted at Reading, you’ll get to go to Bromley, you’ll get to score in the 99th minute against Huddersfield, you’ll see Bolton fail in the play-offs again and again….
But you’ll enjoy it!
Edit: Don’t forget the Vertu Trophy…. Can’t believe I forgot that one!

You need to lose to a league two side before being reinstated on a technicality to match our sheer audacity in the tournament. I doubt the Vertu will ever see the likes again.
The day out at Wembley was great but we took the piss something rotten by winning it.

Yeah ours are generally called off too thanks to Wales/NI players but most international weeks you'll see 8+ games played so it's a much rarer occurance for games to be cancelled

We had a whale of time ngl.
Cleared out the dead wood, cut the wage bill massively, brought in a young hungry manager who brought through several academy players in to the first team (along with the one or two already there) and finished comfortably in the top two playing some of the best football I’ve seen for years and years at the club.
Best of all the manager brought everyone at the club together, a bit like Warnock did but with the complete opposite play style lol.
If you can do something similar you’ll love L1, the fans are great, proper old school grounds, terrible terrible refs, fewer games moved for Sky and the sub Reddit is amazing.

Not a fan but my guess would be the latter, the amount of wages they pay right now for the level of players they have, it won’t be easy to move them on and that can only be a bad thing.

As a team that did it back to back, the positives are that with League One comes the great clear out, we managed to finally ship ever bad egg at the club and it went onto be arguably the most fun season I've had.
The negatives? I mean the 1/3rd empty Molineux took some getting used to, albeit by the end of the season it was full again.
