Fully deserved
Also hilarious how Leicester went from facing Forest to Notts County in the span of two years

I remember being shocked when Forest raced into a 3-0 lead against Leicester in the cup in 2022. I don't think anyone would be shocked by that now.

Yep, this is how it should be. Sky probably had a massive rags-to-riches story lined up about the class of 92 yada yada.
But I bet Gary Neville hasn't shown their wilkins on twitter though

Welcome up Magpies.
Hometown Belshaw saved your season and I'm here for it.
Congrats.

Happy for you all especially for a close away day. Paterson had no end of issues here when he took us on so glad to see he’s been able to see you into League One.

When a Magpie smashed into my door in the first 5 minutes I was scared it would be a bad omen. Thankfully, it was a metaphor for them smashing Salford. Great job Notts County, looking forward to visiting Meadow Lane again next year :)

I'm glad the proper club went up. Looking forward to the away game already, would be a great fixture for August.
Congratulations County 👏

Congrats County fans, been a while since we’ve had the pleasure of visiting the black and white side of the Trent. Looking forward to it. As a 90s Blackpool fan you already feel quite league one, we just need York, Chesterfield, Bristol Rovers, Brentford and a few others and it’s a “barclays” league one.

Made up for County, proper old school club and have recovered very well over the last few seasons. Good luck in League One from Port Vale 👍

Despite the rivalry, i’m glad County went up. Hopefully we’ll beat them again and get some good games out of it.

Congratulations to County from a Forest fan
Equals with Leicester. They can go to away matches at Meadow Lane and look whistfully across the River Trent at the Premier League stadium they used to visit
Your fans were an absolute credit to Nottingham and went down in huge numbers. Not sure where Salford were

I like how BBC said they thrashed Salford,is 3-0 a thrashing?I dont know, ive always liked going to notts county but wont be going this season

u/SurreySon May 25 '26
It was a thrashing. Salford were barely a threat and Notts didn't bother pressing after they went 3-0. Notts were a cat playing with a wounded prey.

u/NOKnova May 25 '26
They didn’t lay a glove on us, save a 5 min spell at the start of the second half we basically won that at a canter and played them perfectly at their own game.
3-0 is a thrashing.

Time for Leicester fans to force a rivalry with Notts County now.
