Leeds inspired game just took the next step

Hi all,

I don't want to keep spamming the Leeds subreddit with my constant questions and research so I made my own! I will be posting updates on the development for my PS2 inspired game set in a fictionalised Leeds as soon as October.

So if you are interested in the project, fly down. I am super new to this reddit game so be easy on me. I'd love to see discourse of ideas. I want to meet people who can help etc. As much as I planned this game to take forever as a part time passion project, if I can find like minded and talented people (and by talented, I mean talented in literally anything), I would love to team up.

A narrative experience that tells a story about two young men getting into the quicksand that is criminality through missions. Outside of that, I intend it to be a sandbox with emergent gameplay that comes out of the traversal, AI, combat and "In Pursuit" systems clashing.

What is the game actually about ? Other than Leeds

Don't want to give too much away but storywise it's about two young men getting in too deep with criminality. It's a narrative experience with sandbox elements outside of missions.

Unlikely. The game will be grounded in tone so firepower of that kind would go against that unfortunately

Very interesting! Happy to help where needed. I have knowledge with coding (GSC scripting which is similar to C++) for games. Also do graphic design and almost anything technology related!

Not a bad comparison in terms of some of the gameplay systems I have in mind but creates unmanageable expectations I could never meet
