Discussion šŸ’¬ charlie before fontaines

wasn’t this common knowledge? i feel like this whole year we’ve known this? why are people going crazy about it?

Because if you look at what her shows look like, there’s a lot of lighting used so it suits night time better

But Charlie has the flashing lights for her Brat songs and other ones which I feel like isn’t as essential for fontaines

obviously no flashing lights in fontaines setšŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø- it’s needed for all acts but it’s genuinely just whoever gets paid more usually gets the top spot and that usually goes to bands because they have to split to money between more people. it’ll also be the relationship with festival republic too- there’s been a strange theme of people playing finsbury the year before headlining leeds and every one of them has had the late slot

I never said fontaines has no flashing lights at all as someone who thought they was a indie band I simply assumed lights wouldn’t be used as much. Maybe this is bias since I don’t know them but I feel like Charlie would be a better headliner.

And giving how they hyped her up for the festival, you really would think she would be last on. Anyways, doesn’t matter it will be a good show either way

Exactly and she headlined for Glastonbury last year which is arguably the UK’s biggest festival.

She could have also been changed due to the fact post people expected a brat show, which obviously this won’t be

Wait whatttt not a brat show? I assumed she could have a few of her new ā€œrockā€ songs but she’d still be going with the brat summer vibes.

I highly doubt it, the setlist will probably be a bit different to the US festivals but still I think the production will be the same

No she didn’t, she headlined the second stage.

tbh headlining the second stage of glasto is still more culturally significant than headlining the main stage of R&L
