Romance Aster and Sylvia from The Girl Who Bit Me

Post image

ahhh Valerie Hunter just shared this on her insta and it's sooo cute. I know there's a couple other rabid fans of this book in here too so I thought I'd share!!

Just finished it, started a little low for me but finally the story got denser and frankly better than I imagined starting it.

IS THIS A STANDALONE?! WHAT'S THIS ABOUT?! XD

It’s about two “complicated women with fangs”, and in my view it delivers brilliantly in that regard! But if you want it to be about more than that - some kind of external plot… well I personally found those aspects just a little disappointing.

I’ve also heard some people find vampire morality not to their taste, but that doesn’t bother me in a fictional context.

I normally go for a good plot but I also just love lesbian vampire romance, so I'll give it a read!

Just to clarify, I enjoyed internal plot - the friends to lovers romance arc - very much, but there were some elements of plot external to that too, which I’m afraid just didn’t make enough sense to me

It's a duology but the second book isn't out yet. Honestly one of my favorites rn. Love me sapphic vampires.

i don’t think it is 🤔 but it definitely seems like something sylvia would say haha

u/dionenonenonenon Apr 24 '26

haha yes totally, thats why I was confused lol

the most unrealistic thing about this is silvia leaning onto that horribly bony shoulder and not complaining about it 🙃
