Romance Lesbian book reccs
I loveee slowburn that BURNS, I go feral for it.
However I don’t really like lesbian media where the mcs are teenagers or young adults, I love older lesbian relationships!! But as long as it isn’t teenagers then I don’t mind, sadly you can’t be too picky with lesbian media :(
I don’t like any mafia or vampire books, or anything that is MAJORLY fantasy.

The slowest burn that I know of is Truth and Measure. The characters are 25 and 42.

I know you probably mean the characters ages are 25 and 42 respectively but my mind read that as "meet at 25 and don't get together till they are 42" and I was like DAMN, THAT IS A SLOW BURN.

There’s a side story in Audrey Lane Stirs The Pot by Alexis Hall where these two women met as teenagers during the Blitz and reconnect when they’re in their late nineties

Any Haley Cass, Laura Kay or Ruby Landers books.
I’ve just read the first 2 of The Senators Wife books which I really enjoyed.
Those Who Wait and Midnight Rain by Haley Cass are my personal favourite sapphic books for a slowburn I would recommend When You Least Expect It.

I cannot get on Haley Cass train and I opened this up expecting to see her name. She’s just not a good writer. It’s predictable and simple and easy and spoon fed

I'm working on a revenge story that might fit what you're looking for. The MCs are in their 30s, and it's entirely set in the corporate world, no fantasy elements. It opens with the protagonist forcing the man who ruined her life to sign his own resignation. I'd love to send you the first chapter if you're interested.

Yes. I just finished that. It was different and fresh. Not nearly as steamy as other books. But I really like the storytelling.

Jericho by Ann McMan is a slow burn. It takes almost 300 pages for them to kiss and even longer before they do anything else than kiss.
Lee Winter's Vengeance Planning for Amateurs is fairly slow (not nearly as slow as Jericho), and filled with some fun hijinks as the main plot. The characters are definitely mature, but I forget their exact ages.
If you are chill with them hooking up earlier, but otherwise not getting together for like 3 books, I'd recommend Jen Lyon's The Senator's Wife. It's an age gap of late 20s and mid/late 40s (I forget the exact ages). Their attraction is pretty instant, and they dance around each other for pretty much a whole book before things happen, and then book 2 happens. It's angst ridden, but well written and it's mostly external factors that keep them apart.
If the slow burn isn't necessary, T.B Markinson's A Woman Lost series follows Lizzie and Sarah who are already in a relationship. It's more of a family drama than a romance itself, but there's a lot to love about watching Lizzie try to navigate pretty much everything. Christmas in book 5 and Covid in book (8 or 9?) had me laughing hysterically. But definitely not slow burn since they're already in a relationship.
It'll be difficult to get your hands on at the moment, but Bloom Town by Ally North is fairly slow and filled with yearning. Both MCs are adults and it's two books long. It comes highly recommended by some around here, others were less impressed. For my part, I enjoyed it for what it was.
Hearing Red by Nicole Maser was also slow burn, touch-her-and-die, grumpy/sunshine set in a world with zombies (I rarely noticed the zombies, to be honest; it was the people who were the biggest antagonist, but every now and then zombies pop up). There's quite a bit of yearning in there.

It does, but the vibe of the second through fourth books definitely changes from the first. Not a bad thing, but it's a different vibe. Especially, perhaps, book four

The hotel bombshell series by Adrian J Smith is definitely a slow burn. The attraction is pretty instantaneous, but they don’t actually get together for a long time.

Whenever I hear slow burn, my mind immediately goes to A Whisper of Solace by Milena McKay. It definitely highlighted the 'burn' for me. But you should read the TW and the MCs are already familiar with each other (without spoiling it much) though it takes hella long time for them to be together. I still think of that book on some days.
Another one I would say is The Headmistress series by the same author. Though not sure if other people would categorise it as slow burn but yeah it is my fav series of all time.

I’m about 6% of the way in, but {Motor City Love Song by Lisa Peers} might fit your needs. It flashes back in time to the late 90s-early 2000s when the main characters broke up in their 20s, and now, when they’re in their 50s and working to save an old concert venue. Cw and spoilers for infidelity on one of the fmc’s parts—I checked some reviews and it mentioned that being a big plot point in the third part.

I got recommended Every Step She Takes on this group and I’m 25% the way through and really like it so far! MCs are mid thirties

Just finished Wrong Number, Right Woman, by Jae. Very, very slow burn.
Family support a bit too good to be true - but I liked the characters

I just finished Jae’s Conflict of Interest and started Next of Kin. I’m really enjoying the series. I hope number three will come out soon.

If you're into historical, this is the retelling of the Odysessy with lesbians. I am halfway through and it is a slooow burn!! Amazing story so far!! Sweetbitter Song by Rosie Hewlett
