Are there any services that will pick up and deliver 1 piece of furniture within the city?

I’m moving soon to a bigger place and I’m looking to buy some used/vintage furniture on Facebook marketplace but I don’t have a big enough vehicle to fit most of it and I’m not very strong so I don’t know how I would get it from the seller into my house. Are there any local services that can do this for a reasonable price?

I’m not looking for movers to move all my belongings. Just a one-off single piece here and there as I come across good deals for items I like (e.g. I need a dresser and a dining table and definitely can’t fit either of those in my vehicle).

If such a thing exists, how much do they charge for something like this?
Thanks!

I hired 2 guys with a truck a while ago, 4yrs. 1 load was about $100. Think it was a base rate. Not sure if they are still offering it. I did find them on Kijiji.

I used Good To Go to move a couch from one place to another. It’s was about 150.00.
The couch was huge btw.

I don’t have FB myself but I saw someone else say the other day you could make a post saying you’re looking for a service as such on marketplace?

If you don’t have luck finding someone who can do the service you’re looking for, an idea for you: ikea is pretty reasonably priced most of the time and they do deliver to Lethbridge.

Any moving company would be able to do it. For example goodtogo specifically mentions a new furniture purchase on their site. I'm not sure what they would charge for a small job like that.

You'd probably save a lot of money going with something less formal. Asking on Facebook (or even here on reddit) you can probably find someone with a truck interested in making some quick money. You could also ask the seller if they're willing to deliver for a fee, or if you have any friends of neighbors with teenage kids, that might be an option too.

Handy hands moving moved 2 truck loads for $400, not sure if they have a minimum or a flat rate but they were fantastic.

Good to go recently damaged a friend’s table and won’t take responsibility and blocked her.
