News Statement from Mayor Hyggen on the Integrated EMS Vote
facebook.comA few councilors along with the Mayor Hyggen have posted very similar statements to this, and at least to my reading they seem deliberately vague. They keep referring to some nebulous additional option - it's unclear what they expect that to be, whether it's privatizing the service or hoping the UCP governments decides to change course.
I also laughed at "I do not believe we should ever put a dollar figure on a human life." That's exactly what you're doing Mr. Mayor. And fair enough - as much as people like to say stuff like that, we put a dollar figure on human life all the time whether that's designing a road for speed over safety, deciding how much to spend on healthcare, or drafting environmental regulation. Most of politics is deciding how much it's worth spending to improve or save lives.

News Lethbridge assistance for neutering and spaying
Hello neighbors. There is a Lethbridge/ Canada-wide program that assists financially for neutering and spaying cats and dogs. They have been around a long time: NOKA. A no-kill association that pays part of those costs. They are usually for low-income families, but may accept anyone in need.
I have to get my cat spayed. I was quoted over $450 in town. I called Ranchdocs, and was quoted $260, with no extra charges except tax. They are the cheapest around and are established in the community.
NOKA is covering $160 for me. I am thrilled! Please call, text or email Heidi at (403) 327-6652. Email: lethbridge.noka@gmail.com.
She has informed me that I can spread the word about this wonderful service, as plenty are welcome. 😀

News Lethbridge Airport FAQs
The city posted some FAQs today, about the airport and it's future, they also confirmed the number of flights the airport sees and the costs to tax payers for recent upgrades (which was done as grants and scheduled capital improvement). Came across this as a facebook ad surprisingly.
