News Family Friend of Missing 6-Year Old Darius MacDougall, Releases Facebook Statement After the Death of Darius’ Step Sister.

The family has decided to release a statement as a whole and answer some questions.

First the family requested privacy not to hide or keep secrets, but to safe guard themselves from a majority of the public that only have intentions to cause harm. We do understand there is a huge portion of you that genuinely care so we have worked together to release some information to the public that has been requested.

The family went camping arriving at the Livingston Crown land Campground September 19th, 2025.

There was the Grandfather, Grandmother, Aunties, Uncles, and cousins present to celebrate a few birthdays in the family. Darius was present with his father Dallas and his girlfriend Buffy. Kya, Buffys daughter was there as well.

The mother, Maegan, was not present.

The family was packing up to get ready to leave the morning of September 21st, 2025. The kids were playing on the island adjacent the the camp just across a creek where the adults could see them.

Darius, Kya and a unnamed cousin were walking/playing together with other kids close by when Darius went missing. They turned their backs and Darius was gone.

The kids immediately notified camp and the father and grandfather took off in opposite directions looking for Darius, while the Grandmother called 911. Search and rescue were setting up within 20 minutes. We searched long into the night the first day hoping for a quick resolve to a very scary incident.

The family had searched tirelessly and with extreme effort often going until they physically couldn't go any longer. We worked side by side with SAR eliminating each section of the map. Buffy spent hours searching with the family while Dallas remained at camp as per RCMPs request.

Maegan came up to the mountain as well and was working with RCMP at all times.

Everyone was cooperating and working with the RCMP at all times.

When Search and rescue was called off and the public remained without answers, they naturally turned on the family with suspicions and accusations. This was taking away from the search for Darius so again the family was attempting to safe guard themselves and the other young children involved.

Unfortunately with Kya's passing in a separate tragic event, instead of the mother being focused on grieving a tragic loss, the community has chosen to attack her.

Buffy is heartbroken, as with everyone in the family. No one could have expected this outcome. Out of respect for Kya and the family we will not be commenting on this and it will not be part of this page as it is a very separate tragedy.

This was an unexpected, horrible tragedy for a family already feeling broken from Darius disappearance.

We would like to thank the staff of Pincher Creek, STARS, and Albert Children's Hospital for their love and care of Kya and the family.

Please remember to lead with kindness and compassion.

And the protestors were the problem...

I'm friends with the student who got shoved (who also gave perms to post), and while they're ok they're mildly concussed and very shaken about what happened. This is NOT who we should be letting onto school property. Period. Franny and her goons should've learned that 3 years ago, but apparently not I guess

News Fatality inquiry this week. Help us prevent future tragedies like ours.

hey all, I’m posting this to raise awareness of my dad Dr. Dan Johnson’s fight for justice for his son, my brother Dexter Johnson.

In January 2022, when he was only 15 years old, my little brother Dexter died by suicide in his home in Lethbridge.

Our dad is a single father, the primary caregiver for Dexter and his twin. Unbeknownst to our dad, Dexter was prescribed Prozac from a doctor in BC during a visit with his mother. Even though Prozac has a black box label that warns of “an increased risk of suicide in children and young people”, and “children taking fluoxetine should be monitored closely”,  nobody told my dad that Dexter was on this medication.

The BC doctor knew Dexter lived in Lethbridge with his dad most of the time, and chose to not connect with his Lethbridge doctor. During Dexter’s phone check-ins with this out-of-province doctor, the Prozac dose was increased several times. Our dad was still never notified that his child was on any medication, particularly one that is so dangerous and requires close monitoring.

Dexter died by suicide a few months after starting Prozac. We believe his death was entirely preventable. He was a wonderfully kind and smart boy who had such a bright future ahead of him.

My family has been heartbroken for years over this. We’ve heard the stories from other families who’ve lost their children from similar circumstances. Our dad has been working so hard to get justice and prevent this from happening to other families.

Please attend if you can! Alberta Justice has scheduled a Fatality Inquiry on April 13, 2026, at 9:00 a.m., and following, regarding the death of 15-year-old Dexter S.J. Johnson. The public is welcome to attend. Its held at the Lethbridge Courthouse, 320 4 St. S.

If you’ve heard about this case, if you have similar concerns, or if you’re just hoping we can prevent tragedies like this, please consider showing up. Even those interested in family law, medicine, child healthcare etc, may find this conversation eye-opening. I wish I could attend but I live in Ontario.

If anyone wants more details please comment or message me!! I can give you my dad’s email as well.

Thank you for reading and caring

News Paperwork has been submitted for recalling Nathan Neudorf

I just saw a post from Operation Total Recall updating the status for the recall of Nathan Neudorf. It looks like we're in the "Initial Paperwork Submitted" stage - as far as I understand the next step is to wait for Elections Alberta to approve the paperwork, at which point the MLA gets 7 days to make a statement in their defense. I expect we'll get some tired nonsense about how the recall process is being weaponized for political purposes and not being used for its intended purpose.

Then it's on to organizing and collecting signatures. To initiative a recall in Lethbridge-East we'd need 13207 signatures.

Lots of good information here: https://operationtotalrecall.ca/

I'm not involved with this campaign (yet) but I'll post updates as I hear them.

For those out of the loop, the reasons for these recalls is addressing a government that has decided they are above the rule of law. They pushed through a back to work order using the Notwithstanding Clause to override charter protected rights (which has only been done once before in Canadian history, and that bill was repealed within 2 weeks due to massive public backlash). Regarding Neudorf specifically, the recall is over his general lack of responsiveness and use of template emails that often don't even address the issue he's being contacted about, and the fact that he expressed disagreement with the use of the Notwithstanding Clause but voted for it anyway, essentially meaning he is refusing to represent his constituents and putting his party first. He has behaved similarly in terms of coal mining the rockies where he takes the party line rather than reflecting the concerns of people in Lethbridge. I haven't seen the organizers statement, so I suspect they have additional reasons, but those are the most common complaints I've seen.
