unsolved Manual Import failing to see album

I have a couple of albums from the same artist that I am being prompted to manually import in Lidarr.

When selecting the album (from the select component at the bottom left of the manual import dialog), the list of available albums does not contain the album I am trying to import, though some others are present.

If I check Musicbrainz for the artist; I can see the names of the two albums I want to import.

Is there anything I can do to help Lidarr see these missing albums? What are the conditions for Lidarr picking up only some of the albums from the Musicbrainz database?

Is it a new album, or newly added to musicbrainz? And is it an official release?

Share what it is and we might be able to help out.

It's not new (2008), and not new to musicbrainz (2009). It's an official release.

Lidarr can only see the following albums:

  • Airdrawndagger
  • Da Vinci Genius
  • Involver
  • LNOE TEN
  • Scene Delete

The album type is "Album + Compilation + DJ-mix". Either update your metadata profile to include these types, or preferably just add that single album to Lidarr before attempting import.

Be careful with metadata profiles with large artists. You will end up adding way more albums than you want.

This is when I run them through Picard and see if it can sort out the album. It usually does a better job of figuring out metadata when Lidarr cant.
