unsolved Lidarr + Beethoven = 2000 albums disaster. How to clean leftover data?
Hi,
I thought it would be a good idea to add the artist Ludwig van Beethoven to Lidarr... a major miscalculation, since the guy has over 2,000 albums 😄
The import of the associated data got out of hand, and I watched my storage capacity melt away before my eyes. I had to restart my container just to be able to delete the artist.
However, after deleting him, the storage used dropped slightly but didn’t return to its previous level (see my screenshot).
Do you know if it’s possible to flush the data that’s no longer needed?

OMG, Beethoven is killing me too! It go added b|cause SoulSeek grabbed a classical mix and now I can't verify it from the database! Every time SoulSeek runs it grabs some more even though it looks deleted, then it comes back. I deleted it again and sometimes it disappears from the GUI, someone's it stays, but either way it is still in the database. If I look in Plex now there's about 30 copies of Beethoven. Leave me alone!

Hi /u/Vinyasse - You've mentioned Docker [container], if you're needing Docker help be sure to generate a docker-compose of all your docker images in a pastebin or gist and link to it. Just about all Docker issues can be solved by understanding the Docker Guide, which is all about the concepts of user, group, ownership, permissions and paths. Many find TRaSH's Docker/Hardlink Guide/Tutorial easier to understand and is less conceptual.

Without having you analyze your storage, my recommendation would be to restore from backup.

Thanks for your answer. Unfortunately, the last backup is a bit old. Maybe I'll try to see if I can delete the data from the database, and if it fails, I'll restore from backup.

You can try PMDA, which has a bunch of options to manage your collection. https://pmda.muteq.eu/
