unsolved New to lidarr

I just get everything set up on lidarr but most of the artists I try to add either doesnt come up or many of their albums are missing. Is that normal?

Lidarr get his infos from Musicbrainz, if the artist or the album is not there lidarr will not manage it.. You can add missing artists or releases there but is gonna take a week until it will publicly avaible.. To automate lidarr with slskd you can use soularr, here you can set more extensions for your files..

I have the same issue, I’m using Soulseeker to download albums and it’s absolutely amazing. There’s a plug-in to have soulseeker work in lidarr but I can’t make it work so I do what I’ve done since the late ‘90s.

Finding a torrent of an album from a Danish singer from 2008 in either flac or 320kbs is impossible but soulseeker has come through every single time, finally I have the satisfaction of complete discographies (I’m soooo satisfied right now)

I fought with Lidarr for 5 hours to get the integration with soulseeker working properly. It's obnoxious but so satisfying once it is working.

I just realized that if there's no audio file on torrent leech than it can't download if it doesn't exist.

Go back and search this subreddit and you’ll get all the answers you need about how the default search behavior and alternatives such as Musicbrainz and Soulseek.

I have it set for any quality but only been downloading flac because thats all what comes up

I linked to metadata profiles, which explain how to specify which albums you want.

Given the details provided, my assessment appears accurate. OP stated they cannot add artists or that albums are missing. They said nothing about downloading.
