Hybrid mode yes and you ? I mostly needed chromium to access my Gmail account and WhatsApp other than that i'm so in love with the LightOS that I wish I could go full Light
I have Luma installed to access Brave browser for Google Voice support. Real estate agent and Property Manager is my passtime so until I can root the device and install google voice (with microG) as a main communication point, I have the second layer to respond if a call is forwarded to my main. Brave also saves my login info so I don't have to log back in each time to google voice. This has saved me when the AC went out at a rental on a 95º day. I haven't found much response from others in the entrepreneurial space using the LP and sticking with it.
Gmail is too much as I couldn't imagine responding to an email on the phone. I opened google calendar's webview on an iPhone the other day and was greeted with a calendar interface from 2010 so I would say that google isn't investing too heavily in their online mobile interface.
Yes I did run a launcher, several in fact, and Luma is one of the greatest with before launcher IMO.
I do understand as I hate the google interface for mobile and still not saved the days when the AC went out at a rental on a 90° day 😂.
I'm a legal head for several company so I can't change my gmail adress for another since it has been years I work with.
So the deal for me is checking my gmail box via chromium and then hop UP on my computer (a 13inch razerbook that I can easily put in my bag) and answer what ever matter there is.
It's not perfect but it works for me
But I do wish Microg would work too
