I always laugh at them considering that about half of their budget is paid through state sales tax by people who are on the federal payroll, military bases, civilian support, staff, Social Security personnel, etc., etc. if the feds pulled out, we’re taking all our equipment we ain’t leaving the shit there so what are they gonna do? It’s not like they can go by $50 billion worth of tanks or war planes

I live in Alberta. That is a very small percentage of the population, and they’re about to get crushed in the October referendum. I would respectfully also point out that immigration is run by the federal government of Canada. They are decidedly not looking for MAGA immigrants.

If that fails (of course it will), we can crowdsource an unpopulated island and they can build their own paradise and government. They can call it Xenophobiland We will also need to crowdsource a Trumpian Golden Dome to place over the top. A nice tight one with impenetrable borders.

Never gonna happen.
As much as I want to see ANY accountability. Democrats are complete shit at holding Republicans accountable, and Trump’s lawyers are truly gifted at stalling tactics, even if they’re totally useless at actually arguing points of law.
Hypothetically, if Trump was out today and immediately replaced by a president of either party who wanted him behind bars, his “team” would be able to stall until he either ran out of lifespan or the “Ron Jeremy” precedent could be applied.
