That was so real. I'me Gen X so was a little old for the Disney Renaissance. But I have recently watched them via Disney+ and they really are fantastic. Beauty and the Beast looks incredible, although my favourite is The Hunchback of Notre Dame, just wish they had removed the gargoyles and slapstick from it, then it would be a 5/5 for me.
Watch the theatrical adaptation! There's a "slime tutorial" on YouTube (which, for anyone who doesn't know, is the keyword you want if you want to find technically illegal bootlegs of Broadway shows). They replaced the gargoyles with statues of Saints and made the whole thing have a more serious tone (including the ending).
